We went to El Nido while on the Margarita Trail and sat a private booth in the bar area. Chloe made excellent drinks and Miguel... provided prompt, courteous service. The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful. Four of us shared the Fried Chickpeas,Fritto Misto, and a pizza, and everything was very tasty. We greatly enjoyed the ambiance of El Nido and will return soon. Read more

The French fries were overly battered and equivalent to the ones from a high school cafeteria. The staff were clueless and tried... to get me to order the most expensive items on the menu. They seated me in the back in this dismally lit room. I asked to beseated at the booth but was forced in the worst seating when there were plenty tables available. Nobody had occupied the boothacross from me the whole time I was there. The waiter spilled water all over my table and never cleaned it up. Rude andunintelligent staff. Not worth the money and they can't even get basic items like a burger right, then upcharge. 33 dollars forok burger lousy fries. And treated poorly. Read more

Excellent service, attentive but discreet. The Buffalo short ribs were tender and flavorful with a great gravy. The burnt... cheesecake was a wonderful way to finish up. Great experience and will reform whenever in Santa Fe. Read more

In Santa Fe for the weekend and this place came highly recommended. We shared plates: blackened cod and fritto misto. Great... service, they sat us late but didn't rush us out. So good. Read more

Once you get past the inviting and wonderful space and the lovely energy of the manager, whats left is what you really came... for...the food...and its not good at all. The Ceasar salad was a chopped mess, much like you might get at a banquet wedding notan overpriced fine dining establishment. The Black Cod was practically raw and served on a hockey puck like risotto cake. Thehomemade fettuccine was a bowl of gloppy and broken strands of pasta in a weak sauce of olive oil and garlic with smalltasteless unsavory spongy shrimp. Really not good food at half the price! El Nido is off our list of Santa Fe eateries. Good luck retaining those many loyal diners who experienced your menu and prices... prior to adopting the new, inflation adjusted menu. I think you’re going to need it! Diners, be prepared to be disappointed bythe new, lower-food-cost recipes of sweet chicken, sweet shrimp, sweet soup and a 30% plus increase in prices. This is now amediocre restaurant. To give just one specific example, the price of the once very popular Italian pizza was raised $6 and thetoppings changed so much that if you were in a blind taste test you’d be hard pressed to identify it as pizza. Great experience here. Food was stellar and service was top notch. Our server, Miguel, was attentive, kind, and... knowledgeable. To be honest I thought the whole “open flame fire-grilled” concept was a bit of a gimmick, but to be honest,it showed in the food, and was a huge addition to the wonderful flavor profiles. The artichokes were a must. The cocktailswere also great. The ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect fat rendering, and the char on the meat wasabsolutely superb. My only note is that the Caesar Salad was a bit bland, could use more seasoning in the dressing, and perhapswould recommend a dash of black pepper upon serving. Big recommend. Read more
