Recommended by a tour guide, we enjoyed hearing the local lore attached to this restaurant and had to check it out. The food was... great and the service was too! I got the turkey melt, which came on a green chile bread that was amazing. My husband got thecalf liver special which he also enjoyed. Service was quick for a late arrival - we showed up at 8:15 and had the check at 8:40(which was exactly what we were hoping for). Used to be our go-to for green chilé chicken enchiladas, “just like Mom used to make”. Then one year even the waiter warned... us, “You might find these a little killer.” I guess they changed their idea about the severity of green to use. We taste thehot and can’t taste the hot PLUS the luscious flavor of the vegetable green anymore. Sad. We’ve long marked them off ourlist. We like taste, not challenge. Read more
My niece suggested we eat here. Four adults and her two young children. Sandwiches were prepared very well. Nice size,... portions and presentation. Children's menu offered a paper with activities to fill out for and $6-6.5 children's entrees. Drinks also discounted. Burgers were good. We got the NM Hatch Green Chile burger. Fries were excellent. Pricing a bit onthe high side. Our party was considered a "Large" party which means an automatic 20% tip. Service was good and waiter pointedout that the tip was on the bill, as they should in those cases. I would not consider our group a large party but that reflectson management. Now the bad, even though there were plenty of empty tables we were sat at the table right next to the patio doorand it was opened about once a minute as waiters, servers and patrons used it so often. Each time it was opened a gust of windentered the room and blew across out table, most likely since the kitchen vent hoods drew the building pressure negative. Atone time a bird feather flew onto the table and landed right next to my plate. Yuk. Average out-the-door burger/fries pricewith tea/soda, tip and tax is about $27.50 per person. Read more
First time visitors from way out of town. Signature Flight Support recommended it and what a gem! The staff was busy but eager... and happy. I had the BLT&A (a BLT with Avocado and great bread.) I have to say, it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Itwas perfect. I don’t have the words to adequately describe how well all those flavors worked together. What an amazingsurprise. Read more

Awesome food and amazing service! I had the fish tacos. They were delicious! Loved the beautiful outdoor seating.
Excited to find a different place to try in Santa Fe. Awesome greeting and not a long wait. The blue corn enchilada was... delicious, the chicken fried steak reads on the menu that it is hand breaded, but note: it's not hand breaded in house, very,VERY thin but huge and flavorful! Do not pass up trying the Green Chile cheese toast with raspberry jam, I'm not a fan ofraspberry but the flavor combination is wonderful. Francois was not a server that Plaza Cafe would (or should) want representingtheir establishment. Service felt annoyed with having to be at work, not a smile, not a suggestion, not attentive, overall verydisappointed. Watching other servers and the pleasant feel of this restaurant, I'm hoping it was an off day, however, sadly, Ibelieve it's not the case. Service was the only disappointment. A very solid experience with good food and good service. It did take a bit to get served, but it is quite popular - so be aware... at brunch and lunch hours. Read more
