Visited Santa Fe for the weekend. The Dragon room was highly recommended to us and we were so excited to have a cocktail and... take in the atmosphere! We had dinner, double checked the hours of the bar, and then headed over. When we arrived, it wascompletely closed for a private event. (On a Saturday night I might add) There was no information on the website to indicate theclosure and it was extremely disappointing to show up just to turn right back around and leave. It was a very busy weekend forSanta Fe, as the balloon festival was going on. Not a very wise business choice to close your bar to the public on a weekendwhen there are hundreds of potential new customers roaming downtown with vacation money burning a hole in their pockets. And ifyou?re gonna rent out the bar, at least post it on your website so people don?t waste their time driving down there! Thanks! Read more
Had the portobello mushroom quesadilla. It was very filling! Customer service - a bit on the slower side but I think they are... short staffed. The servers are very polite and nice. Customers can eat inside or outside patio. Read more
Uniquely decorated bar, the oldest in Santa Fe. We arrived 5 minutes before happy hour ended at 7 pm, but by the time I caught... the waitress' eye it was 2 minutes after, so missed out. Great musician played great tunes. Fantastic voice for Cat Steven'ssongs! My house wine and hubby's well drink were $9 each. (They would have been $6 on happy hour.) Poppers were homemade, huge,fresh, lightly cooked so still slightly crunchy which I love! Inside was cream cheese and I think Jack cheese. Flavorless butcreamy. Definitely spicey though! 3 large poppers $12. We elected to order from the associated restaurant next door, and I'llwrite that up separately. I wish we had moved next door because our waitress was so lackluster, never brought the water weasked for until we asked again, never asked us how the food was or if we needed anything. The people at the bar were so loudright next to us. We had to text to talk. It was a very frustrating experience and the sticky tablecloth, which my glass stuckto, as well as my elbows, just grossed me out. But happy hour would have been worth it, especially early before folks get tooloud, if you know what I mean. Read more
Services sucked, margarita was tasteless, tried to tell a waitress that the margarita had no taste, she told us let me get you... someone who knows the drinks, the supposed manager came over with hands on her hips and said,? I hear you have a complaint ?when we told her about the margarita she loudly said every one here is having margaritas and they are not complaining. We didnot want to offend her margarita recipe or her feelings. Nice thing is the drinks and food ( which was delicious) we?re on thehouse. Read more
We wanted to eat at The Pink Adobe, but it was not open, so we tried this place. It was nice for the atmosphere and the staff... was very polite and welcoming. The drinks and food were good, but the descriptions in the menu didn't give enough detail as towhat to expect. We shared a 4 taco plate and one of the meats was SO spicy. I needed a drink refill and the staff was hard toget because they were so busy. The presentation of the chips, salsa, queso was good with the bowls being made out of tortillas,but it was a bit small to share with 2 people. Overall, a great little place and it is certainly a nice part of town to get tosee the community and history of the area. Read more
I loved seeing the paper dragons as we walked inside and the patio space was nice, but the table arrangement was confusing. We... settled inside, but we were ROASTING! Even under a fan as we waited almost 20 minutes to be served. (And this is just thebeginning, waters, menus, etc.) Sitting at the table, in the bar, made me not look forward to having any drinks. Great ambiance and super cozy but very poor service from our waitress who acted as if she couldn?t be bothered to take our... order. My margaritas weren?t great and for some reason everyone at the table got a full rim of salt of their margs but minealways came with a tiny amount of salt. I asked a server or busser for a glass with just salt but he didn?t speak English andjust left without asking another server for help. The restaurant itself is gorgeous but you will sacrifice service so beprepared for that. Read more
