I had one of the best meals in New Mexico and it was in the Ranch House. Upon arriving, I got greeted and seated right away even... though I was alone. What took me so long to try this amazing restaurant? I'm so glad we finally did and we'll be back for sure! The smoked cheddar,... green chile queso was amazing and we got the larger portion to take some home. I ate the entire plate of smoked chickenenchiladas and have never had such palatable cablacitas! Very fresh and the perfect texture. My lunch partner got the steak andit was cooked to perfection and the loaded baked potato was superb. The creme Brule was also delicious and fresh. The lemonadewas also house made and tasty. The server was exquisite and though we did not need much help we witnessed them go above andbeyond for an elderly customer that made my day! One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion... size and quality. It looks like an upscale restaurant and I was a bit nervous walking in, thinking it would be too pricey, butI've eaten just as expensive fast food. I ordered the Slammer - the house made sausage had an amazing flavor. The house made bbqsauce was so good I bought a quart of it to take home and so did my coworker. He ordered the Green Chili Brisket Burrito andraved about it. The Apple Crisp is a must order - warm, cold, crunchy all mixed into one dessert, yuuum! The service was quickand friendly. Read more
We were told to choose our own seat on the patio and we did. Then we were ignored by the staff for 15 minutes. The hostess was... rude when I went in to check as a couple that sat after us were served their appetizers. No waters, no server, and staff wasinside pointing at us and then quickly looking away. The rude hostess that snapped unapologetically the server was "coming rightout" was wrong. We waited another five minutes. Our server was friendly and very apologetic. We were served quickly everythingbut the check. Our kids ordered cheeseburgers but one came without cheese ???? It was remedied quickly. Seems like the front ofhouse had communication issues or at the very least hospitality issues. Food was pretty good, it hit the spot. Holy cow the food here is amazing. I had originally decided on the brisket burrito but upon entering and smelling the BBQ I... changed my mind and went with the slammer sandwich. It was the best thing I've eaten on this trip, hands down. The sweet honeyglaze combined with the sausage and pulled pork was just pure deliciousness. The place was packed and upon eating your firstbite you see why. The nachos were great too and everything had very generous portions. You won't leave hungry and you'lldefinitely leave happy!! Really great and outstanding service, just sublime. I have encountered a lot of great service before, but among those, this... stood out in such a great way. They were attentive, pleasant, and just overall awesome in every way. The waiter was glad toquickly consummate our orders and requests. In addition to that, the food was exceptional and our waiter ensured that it waspalatable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you pass through Santa Fe. The service is incredible and the samecan be said for the food. Thank you, Doug, for such great service. It was sincerely the best I?ve had in a long time. It was our first time there.. the service was friendly and attentive! The food was good. I had the black Angus strip filet... (served medium rare) with a loaded baked potato and calabacitas while my son had the grilled salmon. He said it was juicy, buthe didn't really care for the BBQ glaze on his fish. Since he is a kid, he substituted his sides for waffle fries and a loadedbaked potato. I had a glass of the Zinfandel that I enjoyed with my dinner. The steak was very juicy and hardly had any fat(which is a plus for me).I will also add that the green chili cornbread was warm, moist and delicious!! Read more
