This is in response to the previous review written by Cathy. I was in attendance on the day referenced and I was quite... surprised by her version of the sequence of events. I have been a regular client of Maggie?s Pub for over 25 years and I enjoythe food, sporting events, bands, as well as the banter and camaraderie of fellow patrons. For Cathy to call and complain tothe owner about regular customers enjoying a spirited conversation at the bar was petty as this is a lively venue. Even moreunsettling and disturbing was her lack of gratitude and gracious behavior when a member of our group went to her table,apologized, and paid for her and her friend?s lunch. She continued her catty and unappreciative tone and behavior when she leftthe establishment?.As she carried out her paid for lunch. Perhaps she may consider other restaurants such as The Dal Rae,Veracruz, or even The Olive Garden as a destination for a subdued lunch as opposed to Maggie?s Pub?.which is known for a morelively and spirited atmosphere. She may also consider displaying gratitude, graciousness, and appreciation when someoneapologizes and pays her lunch bill as a matter of good will. The negative review underscores her pettiness. This is for that one star from Cathy I am not the owner! Just a regular customer that wanted you to have a good experience. I'm... sorry for your bad experiences but sometimes men get carried away you shouldn't blame a place that has good food and service onsome customers having a good time on a Friday. Life is too short and bussiness are doing bad as it is, without Karen's like youto complain, About noise with only 8 people in the place. You got a free meal be happy and we apologized for the inconvenience.Don't blame the bussiness. I bet you ate all your free food though your welcome by the way! Stopped for an early meal. The ow er and some friends were sitting at th bar loudly screaming, yelling and cussing even after... saying something to them. Completely unacceptable. Spoke to Manger and made excuses for them and did nothing. Five minuteslater, after an exchange across the empty restaurant, the owner came to speak to us and apologized. Then he paid for our luncheven though we said we weren't looking for a free meal. We left on good terms. The food, as always, is great. Read more
On Mondays they have very good Corned Beef and Cabbage soup. Delicious broth with fresh cabbage and a light but tasty amount of... corned beef. Spacious restaurant and bar decorated like a London pub. The menu has a very good variety of traditional BritishPub foods. They have banquet facilities in the southern part of the building. Read more
We've been going for years to Maggie's Pub. It was packed as usual for a Friday night we were lucky to get sealed at a booth! We... enjoyed a pastrami sandwich on rye sandwich bread with mustard and Swiss cheese, onion rings and fish and chips! Our meals weredelicious and hit the spot after a long day at work! ???? Hubby's cousin chose this place for family to get together and catch up on life. It is midway between Hollywood, Anaheim and... Seal Beach. Food portions and pours are generous. Comfortable place to hang out for a couple of hours reminiscing and toastingto the loss of spouses and siblings. Read more
Maggie's was pub has that old worn Irish Pub look and feel. Very much a locals spot with a full bar lots of space and a menu... full of great dishes Drinks are not overly expensive and service staff is friendly. The wide variety of sandwiches is greatand they fill them with choice meats..definitely must try their sandwiches! Lots of parking and good music as well. Enjoy! Read more
Everything is still the same. Literally. Well except the bathrooms they are good and clean. All service staff is top notch from... the newest crew member till the oldest bar tenders you can be certain that you will be served great. Read more
