I've been here before I got sausage and pastrami thought I'd try something different. The chicken parmesan i don't recommend it.... It's made from chicken loaf, compressed chickens prices and gelatin binder. Waited 15 minutes for them to make it. Probablywould have been faster except for there was a line for the microwave. I have been coming to papa?s since late 80?s when papa was there, the quality and service has only improved since his son took... it over in 2005 after papa passed away. This is a Hot Pastrami. Maybe my hand is just small, but these sandwiches are a pretty good size. Nicely toasted bread. There's... melted cheese on the bottom, then the meat, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Top half of the sandwich has red winevinaigrette. This is one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. Its not bland, there is flavor in every bite includingthe meat by itself. I love that the pepperoncinis are already in it, usually its upon request, or on the side. Very good localplace. Been here a few times. Definitely recommend for a good tasting sandwich. Read more
Was passing through and thought an italian sandwich sounded good. This place is not too far from the 101, so headed over. Its a... relatively small place and decorated very italian. The lady the took my order was very nice. I decided on a half hot pastramisandwich, a macaroni salad side, and a cannoli. It was not a long wait before I got my food. I started eating it right away. The half sandwich is pretty small which would have been ok if it made up in tastiness. It didn't. Flavors ok. But the meat wastough and hard. Very tough to eat. Definitely over cooked. And they included a whole peppercini pepper! Should have been slicesthroughout so you get it throughout the sandwich. The only thing good about the sandwich was the bread. I have never had a hotpastrami like that. Next, the macaroni salad. WAY too much mayo. And to me it was bland. I only got the mayo taste, nothingelse. Lastly, the cannoli. I have had many cannolis around the USA and even Italy. Need to take a cannoli class. Bland, noflavor whatsoever. I looked at it right when i got in my vegicle and it already had watery substance in it. Sgould necer happento a cannoli when someone first receives it. A true cannoli should be creamy with italian goodness. Not sure what this was. Evengot a second opinion and they agreed with me on all the food. Completely disappointed. Will not be back. This is my favorite Italian deli in the area. Great customer service and amazing food! Everything is on the menu is superiorly... delicious to anything out there. The pastrami sandwich is to die for. You can't go wrong stoping by here. The chicken parmesansandwich is a show stopper, and you might just want to order a couple of of deviled eggs while you wait for your sandwich/food.The Best! Talk about a tempting place to eat. Papa Napoli's is a family-owned business that makes their meatballs and sauce on Mondays.... They do a lot of pre prep for the week on Mondays and the entire strip mall they're located in smells like meatballs and sauceand deliciousness. Their sauce is traditionally a thinner sauce with stronger basil and oregano taste to it. It is delightfulbut I am more fond of the thicker style. They are known for their hot pastrami sandwich.. I haven't tried it yet but I hear thatit's wonderful. I guess that's a reason to come back and try the restaurant again when I'm in town. I did try their cannoli andit was good. The shell wad premade and it would have been nice had the chocolate chips been a little smaller but it was tastynonetheless. One thing I thought was really cute was generations of family pictures on the walls and every table had a deck ofcards and a small Jenga set to enjoy while you wait. Read more
