I absolutely love Fritto Misto. I had been incredibly sad while driving by their old location having assumed the pandemic closed... them down, but in actuality they relocated right beforehand to a far more beautiful location with excellent outdoor dining onSanta Monica. The calamari was lovely, not chewy and very fresh but the Pasta Pancetta is absolutely the star of the show! Ialmost never order pasta while dining out as it is something I make frequently (and easily) at home, but the recipe they usehere has been consistent and perfect every single time. It was later afternoon midweek so seating wasn?t an issue, no one was onthe patio at the time which was perfect for me but hopefully they fill up in the evenings and on the weekends! All members ofstaff that I met were efficient and kind, the manager/owner looking fellow made sure to table touch and overall the experiencewas fantastic. Read more
Shrimp ravioli was great! Atomic pasta had absolutely no flavor, just heat. Tiramisu was really good! The Italian old fashioned... was okay at best and the hibiki Japanese whiskey was good! Great selection of liquors/ drink options. Customer was alright. Read more
Fritto Misto was recommended by a friend and it looked good online, but I was disappointed in the overall experience. Their... complimentary bread was dry and hard. I do recommend their "Fried Pillows" appetizer. On to the most important part: pasta. Thenoodles have good texture, but the sauces were all watered down with underwhelming flavor. Only plus size is that the portion isbig enough to feed two per entrée! At the end of the day, this Italian restaurant has so much potential with their fast &friendly service, but they rely too heavily on its prime location to close the gap on their mediocre taste. Service was great and food was delicious. The outside pics I see here seem to be from the old location. Several people... recommended this place and it did not disappoint-yum. Large portions and a lot of flavor. Only minus would be ladies bathroom,it was pretty torn up literally. Will definitely be back. Lots of vegetarian options too. The host was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. Everything sounded very appetizing. Ended getting... the shrimp pasta which was incredible. You can taste the high quality nature of their pasta. Excellent list of beers to choosefrom, some being local brews. The ambiance was nice and the pricing very fair. Actually a very good find! The food was so good! First, we were served VERY fresh bread. It was so soft!!!!!! Then the calamari... arrived. It was not heavily breaded so you can still taste the calamari and the dip it comes with was refreshing. The Garlicshrimp was very nice and creamy, you can really taste the flavor of both the garlic and the shrimp, 2 flavors which tends toeasily overpower the other. As for the atomic pasta it was comfortably spiced, again focused on the flavor with a decent kickfrom the spice! Definitely would come here again. Additionally, might bring my mom since we recently found out she's allergicto egg AND wheat which makes the transition in finding delicious food very difficult for her and guess what? Fritto misto allowsyou to modify your own pasta and they offer egg and wheat free options! Isn't that amazing?? Read more
Incredibly delicious pasta. Before that, they bring hot bread. With a small crust. Maybe I was hungry, but the last time I had... such a delicious meal was in France.
