WARNING. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. We dined in for dinner about three hours before closing. The wait was a good twenty-five to... thirty minutes. Our order was taken about fifteen minutes after taking our seats. We were seated outside - their patio space wasquite comfy and very comfortable like. We were a party of four (myself included). This is where things got frustrating (betweenus, the customers and staff). We received our entree’s one hour later. Not only did we receive our entrées, but the waitressdropped two of the entrées on to the table as if they were a piece of paper! HOW RUDE. She then walked away when we thankedher. At this point, we had about forty-five minutes to enjoy ourselves and finish our meals. One amongst our party ordered apepperoni pizza which yes, we were told it would be a more wait since they have their way of baking the pizza. Understandable, right? Yes. Well then the pizza came out burnt. We all gave it a try to cut the pizza with a fork and knife - to our surprise weall had agreed that the pizza was ROCK HARD. I have uploaded photos of the pizza. We informed our waiter of the issue. Shewasn’t too happy with us. She then grabbed the pizza pan and walked away for the second time. Things got so tense that we hadthe manager finally come to our table. We had no water refills, one entree was missing a side, and another entree wasn’tcomplete. The manager was really of no help. There is no reason for a staff member to drop entrées onto the table and havesauces fly everywhere! The service we received here was absurd. Note: I ordered an expensive dish to only have it smothered inlemon juice. SUPER ACIDIC. Very hard to eat. I had their Old Fashion with a Japanese Whiskey - the cocktail was so difficult todrink that I left the restaurant with my throat SORE. Acidic and super dry mixed was awful. Also. The desserts were bothcomplimentary due to the service we received. Read more

I had a good impression in my first visit, so took friends and family for my second and third visits. First of all, the... atmosphere is nice and the foods are overall delicious at a reasonable price. However, in the last two visits, there wereconsistent problems with the customer service, so I believe it must be a management problem, not an individual employee'sissue. 1. On my most recent visit, I had to wait 9 minutes on the street because I came 5 minutes earlier than reservation timewhile more than half of tables are empty. In the end, we were able to be seated after our reservation time. On the same day, Iasked for a check to my server, but I did not receive it for a long time (definitely more than 10 minutes), so I ended up goingto the kitchen in front of the bathroom and handed my credit card directly to the server who was chatting with other staffs inthe kitchen. 2. On my second visit in May, The meatball pasta I ordered came out more than 20 minutes later than other dishes. When I asked the server why the meatball pasta wasn't coming, she apologized, saying that the order was missing. North Italia is a great place for pizza or any Italian dish. The food, all of it, is just great. It is so popular it can get... crowded. We did not feel like waiting so we did take away and it was amazing. It was still warm when we got home. We hadLasagna and pizza along with an amazing salad. It was all great. The pizza had the best crust and the pepperoni is perfectlycrisped. The lasagna was in the best red sauce filled with meat and cheese. Our salad was big enough to share and we enjoyedevery bite. The service was super nice. It is an adorable place to eat and next time we will go during off hours and dinethere. Have a great time in Santa Monica. Read more

The best Italian food we have had in a while. This place was amazing! Went on a Friday night and the place was pretty packed... (make a reservation ahead of time, to avoid having to wait). We got an outdoor table, which was nice. The waitstaff taking careof our table (Gloria) was the best! I can't speak highly enough of her. She was super patient with us asking all the questions, always had a smile on her face, and would come and check in often. Her recommendations were fantastic too. I got the SmokySunset cocktail, which I asked to make a little sweet - it was perfectly. Then we got the simple salad, the spicy rigatonivodka, and the daily pizza (eggplant parmesan). Everything tasted yummy - the rigatoni was our favorite. We finished with theHazelnut Torta. I'd told the wife that I don't feel like dessert, but after I ate a spoonful of the Torta (comes with ice creamon top), I couldn't stop. It was so so good. Highly recommend this place. For now, our favorite place in Santa Monica. Read more

Went for the first time, I had a good time and would go back. The space is big and open, with a view on the kitchen with glass... windows. Great ambiance. Very good Italian food and waiters are very attentive and friendly. We ordered the bruscheta andprosciutto, spicy rigatoni vodka, funghi with pizza, and finished off with their house tiramisu. We were happy and willdefinitely go back! Read more

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. The overall service and vibe of this restaurant was very memorable. I came here with... some coworkers. We ordered a bunch of yummy appetizers and entres. I went with the bolognese, which came out too salty. All inall, the desserts were good and made up for the over salted pasta. I would come here again with my partner. Read more

What a lovely find! Food was delicious! We sat at the bar to wait for our table and the service was great and staff very... friendly, so we decided to dine at the bar. Beer was chilled to perfection and served in a frosty glass! The bread with oliveoil was amazing! Something so simple, yet so flavourful! The meatball pizza was delicious and the pasta dish with chicken, mushroom and pine nuts was amazing! I wish I could remember it's name. The decor was lovely and the bathrooms spotless! Thebartenders were friendly and very efficient! Thanks for a lovely meal! Read more
