NO way to pre-order from this restaurant. The menus was updated around 10 am and was disappeared altogether from the website... after it closed. Not a very savvy marketing strategy. No label on the orders, I had to play guessing game. Our 2 out of 8 orderswere missing some side dishes (coleslaw & pickles). When I called the restaurant to speak with the cashier, I was told theywould refund for those missing sides and hung up on me before I could asked for clarification. Should I order from them again? Positives: Ruben and Smoked Sturgeon Negatives: big poppa The big poppa was awful. I saw beautiful photos on yelp of fluffy egg... and cheese on Yelp This egg?it was thin crispy layers of the egg, it tasted like the edges you scrape from a pan, and it waslayers of that to make the egg. Coffee is eh. The smoked sturgeon is excellent. Their smoking is very unique and delicious. Itis quite expensive though. I wish the smoking items were more affordable. They even have a whole smoked turkey option forthanksgiving which would be incredible I?m sure. Authentic Jewish deli with house-smoked fish of a few kinds along with homemade pastrami, pickles, brisket, smoked turkey, fresh... squeezed orange juice, drip coffee (no espresso drinks), etc.. All gender restroom. Accessible. Limited outdoor dining. Streetparking (metered). Read more
?-MAY 2021 ordered a bagel and a reuben. both were delicious with a generous portion of meat, but is $20 each normal for these?... idk.. seems pricey to me. currently not allowing dine in. can?t eat outside at the table either. we went across the street andsat at the entrance of the library. Probably the best bagel spot in Santa Monica. It may seem pricier than other bagel spots, but the quality is worth way more than... the price difference between other delis. The lox is in a class of it's own. Not too smokey not too salty , it's just right. Amelt in your mouth texture that's perfectly sliced. When you put it in their lox bagel with the onions, Dill and capers, it'samazing! Bagels are perfectly toasted and textured. You won't be disappointed. Read more
This place was suggested by my father in law who comes here all the time. YES it's open for take out only but the bagels were... amazing! Fresh and warm and some serious impressive lox!!! I highly suggest giving this place a go if you already don't! theyalso have a Hanukkah dinner fully loaded. (Sorry I ate my bagel with cream cheese too fast to get a pic!) Read more
