While in Northern California for a family wedding, we had to visit KJ, as their Grand Reserve Chardonnay is my wife’s favorite... wine. Upon entering the front door, the experience was amazing. Dina Grant, one of the Guest Hosts welcomed us and was ourhostess. She is warm, funny, genuinely friendly and so knowledgeable about the wines, the history of the winery and the owners. We truly enjoyed the experience, especially due to Dina. The wines are excellent, too. My wife has new favorites….Wesigned up to become club members. The grounds are beautiful and the gift shop is great. If you are in the area and appreciatesuperior wine and service, don’t miss Kendall-Jackson!! Read more

The wine tasting and food pairing exceeded all my expectations. For $95, you’re given 4 wines, each with a dish (of decent... size!). Most of their ingredients are from their culinary gardens which are open for you to explore. The rest of the ingredientslike cheese and lamb were locally sourced. Everything was delicious. Our server was kind and knowledgeable, and had a greatsense of humor. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, it was very quiet and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Read more

Great food, wonderful experience, wine good, gardens were the best! I didn't add fifth star because it was pretty pricey.

Lovely property. Thanks for Mitch being a great host and Paul and Dina (Deena?) for being part of the day as well.

TLDR: Enjoyed the experience! Beautiful vineyards and main building. Great tasting opportunity; glad we visited and will return... again. Considered part of the Russian River area, Kendall-Jackson may seem too ubiquitous and "commercial" but I assure youthat is not the experience at their winery. An appointment (see website) is recommended, but during the week it may be possibleto "walk-in" if space is available. Weekends not so much. Tastings are $20.00 per person and you get a good flight for that(see my photo of the tasting menu). If you purchase two Reserve bottles, they will wave a tasting fee. Reserve bottles start at$35 and go up from there, so don't purchase unless you want. Our sommelier was Paul (aka Squire Paul). If you can get him toserve you, you will be regaled with detailed stories of local history, Scottish history, winemaking, and more. He's veryentertaining, and knowledgeable. Please be sure to tip him well. Read more

We did the food and wine pairing. It's worth every penny! The wines are delicious, and these are not the store bought wines.... These wines can only be purchased at the winery. We meet one of the chefs. You can also still through their gardens, whereall ingredients are grown. They even have chickens! Beautiful facility, plan on 2 hours of you do both the pairing andchoose to walk the gardens. Read more
