Of course this place is legendary and needs no more reviews. But I have to give thanks to the employees for really taking care... of us. In a time when so many places have give up on service it was so nice to 1) be at one of our favorite breweries of alltime 2) found that the staff is as friendly and kind as ever 3) receive first class service 4) be taken care of with patienceand a smile. If you like craft beer and are in the Sonoma area, you have to come up here to experience some of the best of the west coast.... The flight is 100% worth it so just commit! Also the pizza are very tasty! Read more
Always an enjoyable visit. It's a tourist mecca, so don't look for personal service. Instead, enjoy the pros behind the bar,... the great beer selection and a menu of pub favorites. There will most likely be a wait for a table, but there are usually twoto three seats open at the bar. They have a fun merchandise shop, too. So you can take branded swag with you if it makes youhappy. Pliney the Elder (and the Younger, when available) are the flagship brews. But there are many, many other great brews totry. A bad start turned good. We arrived 25 minutes till 9 pm Friday night, 25 minutes before the last call for food (according to... their policy). We walked in to sit down, not realizing that you have to be seated by a host, we were greeted by a frustratedhost who explained that there was a line waiting to be sat and they are simply too busy to seat any more tables now, but I waswelcome to go to the bar to order a beer... We drove an hour and a half to have dinner there and of course some beer but Itwasn't pleasant to hear that I couldn't eat now after that drive, esp when it was clearly still within their timeline. So, ofcourse I expressed frustration of my own then walked off, debating just leaving to eat somewhere else. After a few more minutesthe host walked over to my wife and said that someone had just canceled their place in line and that they would seat us. I wasadmittedly angry about how that situation was handled but at least we were able to sit and order food so thank you. Thank youstaff for stepping up to make a first impression. The food was amazing! (Although the margarita pizza was literally just astandard cheese pizza with strips of basil leaves... Smh) and the beer was perfection as always. Read more
World class beer venue. A bit of Mecca I?d say. Russian River brew some incredible beers, including benchmarks for certain... styles. They have a large range of beer styles on offer. They also do great pizza. Their prices offer impressively good value.Nice venue. Can get quite busy at times so plan accordingly. I really hope to get back here some day because the place really issomething special. Read more
I haven't been back here in a couple years and yet everything tastes so amazing. From the beers to the food I'm always... impressed. Of course it's packed for a reason. But the place is so homely and I've never had a bad time. Service is very quickand they will always accommodate. Thank you so much ???? Update 12/31/21: Went back again and even when sitting at the tablesthere was always a few servers there to accomodate you so i was still able to get drinks and food super quick. Food was good. Service was excellent but the beers were disappointing. This place was a long time bucket list destination for me... but the tasting the beers on the California ales flight ($15) were not worthy especially the lighter ones. Even Pliny the Elderwas flat amongst several others. Wish I could've tasted the Younger but not available. Read more
Great IPAS, but a better staff. I brought my buddy here who was visiting from so cal and man did they deliver. Super stoked that... the beer and service far exceeded our expectations. Read more
