Good menu and food. Indoor/outdoor seating. Seafood market and restaurant. I had the 1/2 lb peel and eat shrimp (good serving of... large shrimp), cole slaw and drink. Total with tax and tip was $21.37, so a good value as well. I'll be back! Read more

Fantastic food! It?s Monday night and there was no wait. The chairs and tables could use updated as the chairs were... uncomfortable. There?s nothing fancy about it, but with the food quality, it is well worth the drive. I recommend the scallops &shrimp. Read more

I don?t even know where to begin! This was hands down the best restaurant we went to while vacationing in Destin. We tried Crab... Trap and Dewey Destin?s as well, and while both had a decent atmosphere, the food was nowhere as good! I wish I had foundGoatfeathers my first night of vacation instead of my last because I would?ve been there every night. The food was not onlyfresh, but it was perfectly seasoned. The service was hands down the best service I?ve had in a long time at any restaurant. Ourwaitress was Soncha and she was amazing! She took wonderful care of us. If you want the best food, service, and atmosphere, youhave to visit Goatfeathers!!! If my words don?t convince you, I?ve also attached pictures! I had the fresh catch of the daywhich was mahi mahi, Cajun potatoes, and hush puppies. It really doesn?t get any better than this! For dessert, I had the breadpudding with homemade rum sauce..talk about a party in your mouth!!! Also, their fried shrimp and key lime pie wereperfection! Basically, anything you get from here will be wonderful. You can?t go wrong! Read more

I recently stayed in this area and decided to check out Goatfeathers. The male bartender was friendly and fun to hang out with, ... food was yummy, and close to the beach. I usually don't go back to the same restaurant more than once while on vacation (toallow to trying other places). I accidentally left my debit card and tracked my steps as to where I had last left it. I got agood laugh and decided to hang back out at Goatfeathers. I got "miserably" full but in a good way. Thank you for keeping mycard in a safe place, having an honest, fun bartender, and yummy food!!!! Ill be back next time Im in the area. Read more

We had a party of 13 including many children. They were fantastic with the kids and our food was impeccable. I would ignore the... prior reviews as hardly anyone posts positive reviews. Read more

Our last night on the gulf coast and we find the best spot! The food is off the chain and the service is impeccable. The... portions are filling and everything was delicious from the appetizer to the main course. No room for dessert so I can?t commenton that. Read more

I have eaten at Goatfeathers a number of times over the years. I had not been back in more than three years as a previous... experience was not very good. Moreover, the 30A corridor has become increasingly popular with tourists swarming in and thetraffic along the two-lane road can be very congested. At this time of year, snowbirds are arriving, the heavier touristtraffic is down and driving along 30A can again be a good experience to see how many new and large buildings have become part ofthe landscape in the past several years. Goatfeathers is a catchy, unique name. Obviously, goats like to eat just aboutanything and they do not have feathers. So why the name? According to their website, a quote from 1913 is "Goatfeathers are thedistractions, sidelines and deflections that take a man's attentions from his own business and keep him from getting ahead". Tohighlight the unique name, there are goat images throughout the restaurant. Whatever the problem may have been withGoatfeathers several years in the past, it has been corrected. On this occasion, the two of us dining here had a fried shrimpplatter with green beans and grilled grouper with a baked potato. Both were very well done. I would probably give a slightlyhigher nod to the Dewey Destin's restaurants in Destin on the fried shrimp as their batter was a little less thick but that is aminor point. The shrimp at Goatfeathers was very good and well worth ordering. The grilled grouper was also very well done. Itwas not overcooked which can make it tough and dry. Instead, it was moist and very tasty. The hushpuppies that came with themeal were also excellent. The "southern green beans" were spicy and very good. The last bite from the bottom of the dish wasquite hot so I drank another glass of tea to cool off my throat. I think there may have been hot sauce in the recipe which addedto the unique flavor. The ambiance at Goatfeathers is informal. In the dining area in which we were sitting there is a Read more
