This place is so interesting. They have a super cool inside with crazy lights. They show you the menu on a handheld super large... chalk board, some of you might want to have your reading glasses ready haha. The food came out accordingly and tasted just asgreat as it looked. My wife and I were in town for a work conference. We stopped here for dinner. We found the most amazing friendly service and... food that was equally amazing. The crab cakes were the best I've ever had and the bread pudding was out of this world (and Igenerally am not a fan of bread pudding). We highly recommend this spot and will be back! Read more
Our friends took us there for the first time and it was a lot of fun great place great staff and we met Louie Louie who's a... fantastic guy very warm greeting. You got to love this place with a great outdoor seating and a meeting might be small buteverything is very tasty. My wife had to Crab Cakes we also had the Blackened Grouper, Shrimp and Crayfish and the Pork Chopsspecial which were all fantastic. Can't wait to come back here again and eat and see if you're going to be more fun in thespringtime when they have the bands on the outdoor eating. Louis, Louis is an excellent restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The decor is unusual. It is filled with posters, usually... older ones, from France, Germany, and the United States. There are chandeliers that look as though they are from another era.Red lights adorn the wall in many parts of the restaurant. The service is friendly and usually quick. There is a limited menuwritten out on a chalk board the waiter brings to the table. Prices are not inexpensive. The servings are large. I have neverhad a bad meal here. Crab cakes are perhaps the best selling item on the menu and a favorite of those who like crab. Oddly,through no fault of the restaurant, eating there last night the restaurant did not have crab to sell. There was a supply issue.Presumably the shortage will be short lived. The seared grouper was excellent. It had a citrus sauce that added to the flavor.Mashed potatoes and salad accompanied the fish along with a French roll that is always excellent. The grouper dish was large,about $36 and two of us split it and were full after the entree. Desserts are made in-house. The key lime pie and bread puddingare outstanding and the two of us each ordered a dessert. Again, the serving was large and we brought about half of each desserthome. With a glass of wine for the two of us, dessert and splitting a meal, the total bill came to just under $100, including agood tip for the waiter. Not inexpensive but the food is excellent and a delightful experience when in the Destin area. Formany years, this restaurant did not take credit cards. That has changed and cards are now accepted.
