We felt lucky we were able to reserve a spot for dinner the same day we called. We sat in the high chairs area, in the back. ... In the middle between the bar and the kitchen was much livelier. The popcorn was surprisingly tasty. The salad was pretty good. My veggie lentil stew like was very tasty. But my hubby order the grouper and yucca fries (elevate fish and chips ????) andthat was awesome, good enough to return just for that. We also had dessert, the bread pudding made of croissants and chocolate,it was good but not $18 good. Coffee was strong and smooth. Very good experience overall. Read more
Almost perfect! What a great find! This restaurant is operated by a world class chef and the food shows it. The food was... prepared excellently and each entree was unique and showed the artistry of the Chef. His partner is a financier and artistwhose interesting art adorn the walls. The restaurant has a interesting back story worth researching. The service wasexcellent. We arrived as they were opening and the chef was out front picking herbs for tonights meal. The hostess promptlygreeted us and escorted us to our table. Our server, Marina was personable and very efficient. The ambiance was interestingand pleasant. The rating would be 5-star except for one quirk. This is a high end restaurant - dinner for two without alcholand before gratuity was $165.35. A fair price for the quality of food and service we received. What is annoying is that arestaurant of this calibur would charge a $3.78 convenience fee for use of a credit card. At the price point of thisrestaurant, the fee is quite pettie. We are looking forward to our next visit. Read more
Wow. Marina was friendly and knowledgeable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how many vegan options were available. The... vegetable, farro, and lentil bowl was fantastic and the veg friendly small plates were delicious. My partner was happy with hispork ribeye and raved about the polenta. Had an amazing dinner here while in Cashiers. Food was great; fresh local flavors assembled with an authentic flair. Had a... signature Old Fashioned with the black walnut bitters and it was exceptional. Desert was equally enjoyable, and left us feelingvery satisfied. Great vegetarian options as well. Read more

Thinking about trying The Library? Go no further this restaurant is excellent in so many ways. When you walk in you are greeted... with outgoing fun people. Then whether you are seated at a table, bar, or the bar top facing the kitchen you are greeted byyour server, the chef, or the manager all of which are upbeat smart restaurant leaders. Now, onto the food. Yum Yum Yum everytime I go there the food is absolutely delicious. Never have I had a bad meal. They use top notch ingredients and the chefknows exactly what he is doing. They have a full bar that you may sit at if you choose. The bartenders are always fun andoutgoing. The interior of this restaurant is also fun to look at. Lots of neat pictures all over the place. It has a verycomfortable feel inside and I am sure you’ll enjoy it. There are parking places right in front of the restaurant and shouldthat be full there is a lot across the street to park at. I wish I could translate into words our amazing experience at the Library Kitchen&Bar. Prior to our trip I had read many... wonderful reviews about this restaurant, so I booked our dinner weeks in advance and we were looking forward to our diningexperience. We were travelling from Orlando to Sapphire (just for one night) and trusted the GPS ETA. Well, driving on the curvymountain roads was no joke and we realized that we were going to be late. I called the restaurant and was able to move thereservation to 7:30 pm, the last opportunity. By 7 pm, we were exhausted and thought we were never going to make it. I calledone more time and said we were still driving and would be 15 minutes late. We finally got there…tired and not looking our bestas planned. The staff was wonderful and received us with so much care and attention. The restaurant is beautiful, fresh,tastefully decorated with contemporary art and interesting books. And the food!!! The food was absolutely amazing. Totally livedto our expectations and effort to get there. Chef Johannes gave us personalized attention and we could feel his love, attentionto details and pride to offer the best culinary experience to each client. I could go on and on describing each amazing dish wesavored. All delicious, refined and creative. What a delicious treat! The cocktails were great... but dinner was over the top. The arugula salad with hot fried goat cheese... and candied pears was terrific.
