Food was great first time we went the waiter was very friendly and the second time we went we placed an order and had to wait... over 30 mins to get it. The people next to us came in after and ordered after us and received there food before us. Very low quality food for the high prices. More important: Although the waiter was trying hard, it was clear he was never... trained on the menu, how to serve, or how to ring up a check. The check had an extra $15 worth of charges and when the waitertried to fix it, the owner chewed him out and only removed $3. Then when I asked about the remaining extra charges, the ownermade a scene while yelling at me. He tried blaming things on "these kids these days" and "it's hard to get good help" but theyoung waiter was trying hard-he just wasn't trained. We ended up having to pay the extra money. Went for lunch on a Thursday after July 4th. It was busy but tables opened up when we arrived at 12:45. All 4 of us thought... food was good except the free macaroni salad(no taste). Coffee is self serve. Prices seemed a little high for lunch. I had abagel with a little turkey, a lot of cranberries and too much mayonnaise for $12. The bagel was very good. We were reccomended this absolutely delicious and friendly restaurant while passing through Saranac lake. The food is DELICIOUS!... I got the French toast...it melts in your mouth. Homemade bread, fresh maplecsyrup and coffee is perfect. Clearly patroned bylocals and for good reason, very kind and welcoming staff and laid back, but welcoming restaurant. Definitely, will have to goback on next trip. Read more
Absolutely the best service, thank you to our waiter, I wish I remembered his name! In addition to our breakfast we had a... keylime shortbread- so good! I'm not a coffee drinker but the kids loved the coffee bar setup where you can refill your own mugand add cream, sugar, etc. Very clever idea. The cafe itself is adorably rustic and filled with photos from local photographerswhich are lovely to view. Food was good and well portioned. None of us finished our plates and we all appreciated the uniqueselection - not just basic breakfast items. Definitely recommend. Read more
Is a must to go place. Great Benedict eggs and the lentils soup so good! I loved the coffee station. Great costumer service and... the food just amazing. Bad that I didn?t try the mimosas, I went on a Sunday morning before 10am. Read more
