On our way to Lake Placid and decided to stop at the Boathouse in Saranac Lake for lunch. I had a lobster cob salad and my wife... had a fried chicken sandwich both were very good. Back in June, my husband and I were driving through New York and stayed at the Saranac Waterfront Lodge. We had a delicious... dinner at the Boat House Pub and I especially loved the brussel sprouts! They were probably the best I ever had! Anyway, I wastelling Cora our wonderful friendly waitress how much I enjoyed them and I wanted to know what the secret ingredients were. Apparently, she asked Chef Chris for me and we was happy to share some of his secrets with me. Hats off to Chef Chris! Lovedthe sprouts! My burger was delicious as well! I go to the Boathouse Pub at Saranac Waterfront Lodge each and every time I?m in town. The food is leaps and bounds above both... Lake Placid or any other place I?ve tried in Saranac Lake. Not to mention the unmatched views of Lake Flower. All the servershave been friendly, knowledgeable and know the menu well. I stopped in today for brunch and took their suggestion on theflatbread and I?m glad I did. Loaded with good stuff and then to be topped with over easy eggs was a great touch. We live on the outskirts of Montréal but this is our third meal at this fine establishment in less then a month. The location... is amazing, food is fantastic, prices are more then reasonable and the staff warm and welcoming. Pro tip, ask Andrei theawesome bartender to make you the hibiscus habanero margarita for a drink you will never forget. Try this place! Read more
My family and I had a lovely breakfast at the Boathouse. The food was great, atmosphere was nice, and the servers were extremely... friendly and attentive. Cora was our main server, and she was very pleasant and accommodated all of our requests. Tim also didseveral things to enhance our experience in the restaurant and had a great personality. We sat outside for lunch which was beautiful! Our waitress, Gerry was super friendly and helpful with menu selections. My... husband had the burger, he ordered it medium and it was cooked to perfection!! Nice! I had the chicken sandwich which was alsoexcellent , crispy and juicy! Like the hotel it is attached to, the Boathouse is decorated comfortably with a beautiful view of the lake. The menu is full of... delicious options for brunch, lunch, or dinner and has a casual, comfortable atmosphere. Seating is available inside at tables,booths or at the bar as well as lakeside tables on the patio.
