Looks like a casual, no frills fast food place. Surprise! Looks are indeed deceiving! The chicken is fresh, perfectly seasoned... and delicious. You get a choice between dark and white meat. The coleslaw ,which I?m very picky about, was fresh and perfect.Even the iced tea was fresh, not overly brewed and refreshing. What a find in Sarasota. I?ll be back! Read more

We ordered 2 dinners and a kids meal that were less than mediocre. The food in all honesty were small portions (one tiny... spoonful for each of our sides) and reminded me of middle school cafeteria food. Mashed potatoes and gravy were inedible, theMac and cheese was mediocre, and the pasta salad was a spoonful of noodles with a squirt of cold creamy Italian dressing on topfor you to mix yourself. It is honestly offensive to serve the quality of food this is. We ate here after the the first day openafter hurricane Ian and it was packed as they were one of the few places open for food. So the food was the freshest it couldhave been and it was still awful. Our ribs were tiny and tasted microwaved also. I hate leaving bad reviews but I had to behonest. Two stars because they were very nice. Food was awful. Chicken was dry as a bone and dinner time was just starting (5 pm). Also... chicken tasted REHEATED. It takes on a horrible flavor when you reheat meat. Mac and cheese tasted like a chemical factory. Read more
If you want lukewarm, flavor lacking, dry chicken with very small side portions Basil's is the place for you... The food had... almost no flavor, & was lukewarm as if it's been sitting for a while. Looking at the pictures you can see I ordered two breasts& was charged for two breasts however I only received a single breast. After calling the location & talking to Kim, Kim saidthey cleaned up & locked up already so I can get a free breast next visit... For $34 I expected better judging by the reviews.Will not be coming back. Masks are not required despite what the page says. Read more
My only complaint is how little rice pudding they gave me. I would show you the chicken soup or the ribs or the gyro I ordered... but I ate it all so fast that I forgot to take a picture. It is SO GOOD !!! I've been back several times just for the soup. Ilove this place and will definitely be back and I try and add some pics . So if you see some more pics than just the ricepudding, then you know I've been back. For real the meat fell off the bones on the ribs , the sauce was bland but I always addmy own so it wasn't an issue. The chicken and rice soup is the best soup I've had since main street bar , I love the stuffedpeppers soup. Read more
Terrible overall says fresh but pretty sure the mashed potatoes are boxed and the ?fresh vegetables? were canned green beans... ribs look nothing like the pictures and it wasn?t bbq it was some red sauce that probably had msg in it but the menu says no msgI didn?t want oriental ribs and the Mac and cheese looks like it came from a roux but it was like Kraft boxed Mac and cheese ifyou?re looking for actual fresh food keep looking very pricey for terrible quality Read more
