Wow! I can see why this Italian restaurant has such high ratings. I was in from out of town and looking for a good Italian... place, I walked in and was greeted by the Manager, Debbie, who went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and took great careof me. (during a Friday night dinner rush hour!) Evan was my waiter and the service was excellent and quick. The friendly andpersonable owner, Joe DiMaggio Jr., cooks delectable Italian dishes in the center bar while engaging with patrons. His art work,along with other local artists, are displayed on the walls. The atmosphere is upbeat, positive and the food is incrediblydelicious! What a Hidden Gem. OMG! This is a favorite of family who live in Sarasota area. When visiting they took us here. Like being in NY. Service,... fantastic,, treated like family! The food,, excellent! From pasta to pizza! This isn?t so much about the restaurant as the service we received. It was the worse service ever. Our server had an attitude... as soon as we were seated. We placed our orders. Got one meal wrong. When meal was brought out we told them what was ordered. Server came to table and said I read the order back to you. Everyone at the table agreed on what was ordered. I decided tocancel my meal because by the time I would of gotten mine everyone else would be done. When I asked the server to cancel mymeal, he threw the cheese grater down and stormed off. When we got our bills to pay he shorted one of the other couples $10change and they called him out on it. (If you get RICH, as your server I?d request another one) The food that was served wasgood. We tried this place for the 1st time last night...Everything was incredible! Started with the house garlic mozzarella styx &... followed up with the chopped lobster ????, shrimp ???? 'n spinach pasta. We also ordered a grilled chicken ???? pizza ????. While we ate we were entertained by 3 talented artists ???? working on their artwork...Highly recommend! Read more
Amazing food and staff. Marc is our favorite server. He is extremely pleasant and attentive. The have the best Veal and expresso... martini. All their food has been excellent. Cool atmosphere and they also have outdoor seating. We were able to bring our petoutside. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I?d recommend making reservations as they do get busy. Read more
The art in the place was wonderful. Very nicely decorated, always kept my eye busy while eating. The lighting is pretty dark, so... bring some reading glasses if you typically struggle with reading small text. I had the manicotti, it was very filling but Ijust wanted to keep eating it because of how good it was! My vegetarian friend had the veggie pizza and said it was the bestveggie pizza she?s ever had. Super colorful and perfectly cooked. When I asked the waiter if they served mocktails, she gave mea range of flavor options to choose from. Read more
