As a long time resident of Sarasota, I have been to Chianti many times, and all my meals have been very good. Last night,... however, my meal was nothing short of spectacular. First off, our server was like a ray of sunshine - in fact the overallservice from the food runners to the management in between was so attentive. Next, the meal was so delicious - start to finish. We had quite an appetite when arriving so we started with an appetizer, followed by a prima piatti course of pasta, and asecondi piatti course of an entree, then we wrapped up it all up with a slice of pistachio creme cake with a cappuccino! Sated,yes we were. Upon reaching home, I discovered I had left my CC there! Oh no. I call the restaurant immediately, and I guessfrom Caller ID the maitre d' picked up the phone and said "Mrs. P we have your card!" Now, I really feel special! Very underwhelming, it was not inedible but just very bland. Both of us had red sauce, this should be a staple, very under... seasoned, meatballs were soggy and just not great. Service was ok , everyone very nice, food just missed the mark, there was nopoint in the meal where we said this is really good i would order it again. Read more

I saw the reviews and I saw a menu that looked appealing I ordered the food I asked for veal Parmesan and I knew the price was... $31 but I was expecting with that I was going to get a salad and a large portion I got to the restaurant and this is what theygave me! So I used my eyeglasses as a scale to show you that the portions were extremely small. And then after all that the foodwasn’t even that great. I would suggest stepping up your game you’re gonna have us locals for the next 7 months before yourmoney train comes in and the seasonal people arrive again. Read more

The best Italian cuisine in Sarasota area. The manager is Italian nicely welcomed us at the entrance. Incredible tasty food... prepared by Italian chef in accordance with home traditional Italian recipes.
