Oh my goodness! We just had an amazing dinner!! First of all Angela is the best waitress!! Excellent recommendations!! They have... awesome vegan options! I got the beet salad... Which I could live on! Then I had the garbanzo meatloaf that was incredible!! Soflavorful!! Angela recommended the trout for my husband.. he never had it before and absolutely loved it!! So on our very last Siesta Key night (of our Honeymoon), my wife and I tried Clayton's Siesta Grille on a friend's... recommendation. We really should have visited them sooner, because we would have dined here more than once! Drinks: Blue BerryCrush and a Margarita, both very good. Appetizers: Crab Cakes and the Coconut Shrimp. Outstanding! Dinner: Macadamia Nutencrusted Grouper w/ vegetables Highly recommend! Teriyaki Salmon - Also very good Our waitress, Samantha, was outstanding andthe Manager answered a few questions about the wall art. He said the owner was at the bar. Gotta like that! Dessert: MeyerLemon Crème Brulee and macadamia nut brownie w/ ice cream - Both wonderful. Very relaxing and enjoyable meal. We will be backto eat here again whenever we are in town. Solid experience and a worthy four star nod. Had our meal on the patio. Good ambiance, tasty food. Kid menu available. Scallops... and gnocchi was a hit. The mahi tacos (2) were tasty. The burger was raved about for preparedness. If you are staying withinwalking distance, you can stroll the beach and cross at the public parking area. We went out on the 941 charter boat and caught our dinner the shef did a great job of preparing our fish and the server was a... sweet girl I would recommend both. Excellent food with fast precise service! We stopped by Clayton's Siesta Grille during our family vacation in the area. The food... was delicious and service was top notch! Appetizers: Seared Crabcakes – good, but not outstanding; Fried Calamari –perfect; Goat Cheese & Tomato Jame Jars – this was absolutely crazy delicious!; Siesta Seafood Chowder – excellent! Mains:Scallops and Gnocchi – excellent!; Macadamia Crusted Grouper – delicious!; Teriyaki Salmon – wow!; Mahi Mahi Tacos –excellent!; Trout Almondine – a bit oversalted and overfatty, but still good. Drinks were unremarkable. We highly recommendthis restaurant. It's very good! This is a somewhat hidden gem in Siesta Key. But once you find it, you will not be disappointed. A great selection of seafood... and meats and drinks and more... Needless to say, we had the fillet mignon and the trout plates and both were superbly preparedand served timely. The seafood chowder was amazing as well. Drinks galore, and we sat out on the patio to enjoy the freshevening sunset. It was our first visit, but now its on our list of go-to restaurants. Read more
