I ate dinner there for the first time last night with a friend, it's an adorable place. We were inside. I ordered the lasagna... and the pear salad, both were outstanding. My friend Enjoyed the flavor of pasta with lobster but Was disappointed,that therewasn't more discernible pieces Of lobster. The wine was great, There was some kind of pizza bread that wasn't very interestingbut the regular bread was inedible. .. I've been to many many Italian restaraunts, since of course I'm Italian, and this is one of the best places I've ever had the... pleasure of eating at. I don't normally return to a same place because I like to experience and experiment with the areas I'm inbut I will definately be returning here. Holy Cow.....this was phenomenal! The restaraunt itself is beautiful! Plenty of indoorand outdoor seating options. Ordered off the cocktail menu..... pear martini and a grapefruit/blood.oramge martini.....sorry Idon't remember their formal names. They were perfectly made by Justin, the bartender. He was awesome not only making deliciousdrinks, but also was very personable and attentive. He even offered us lemoncello to try before we left. So delicious. The foodwas another level! I dont impress easily but the gnocchi were so soft...and melted in your mouth. The rosemary sprig was uniqueand provided such different flavors to the dish. The veal marsala.....perfect Again the veal was flawless. The meat was sotender and the flavors heavenly. Prices we're reasonable. Highly recommend! 10/21 Delicious food AGAIN and Justin made themost amazing drinks . The gnocchi are so light and the vegetables compliment the cream sauce dish. We had a wonderful dinner experience last evening at Flavio's on Main St. My main course was a special: lobster tail, shrimp,... orzo with basil and spinach. It was superb and paired amazingly well with a 2018 Lynch Bages Blanc that we brought for areasonable corkage fee. My wife's Branzino was also excellent and we also enjoyed a 2010 Altesino Brunello di Montalcino that webrought. Service was friendly, attentive and completely professional. The tables were spaced sufficiently apart that we werecompletely comfortable. We will most definitely return. Read more
The most “traditional” high end Italian food I’ve found in Sarasota in the last 10 years. New manager is a class act.... Ambiance is tip too, location is unbeatable, service is stellar, food I tried was amazing and prepared almost too quickly tobelieve. Prices are high but as to be expected and average for the area. The service was quick and fine. The few courses we ordered were butter/salt heavy and didn’t have any nuances in their taste.... The vegetables are flavorless- not the best ingredients. With the same price, you can do so much better in Sarasota. It’s wasoverall OK, not impressed. Read more
