This is one of my regular go-to places in Sarasota for delicious meals and great service. The food is clean, authentic and... flavorful, whether you order it mildly spicy or Thai hot. My old reliables are pad Thai and vegetable panang curry, but I?venever had a disappointing dish. When other restaurants shut down during Hurricane Irma?s march toward the Bay Area and, later,as the pandemic took hold, Isan found a way to keep its employees safe while continuing to serve customers. Let me preface my remarks thusly: I love good Thai food; what they serve here unfortunately, is not that. The "Isan Thai Amazing... Curry" was just pieces of meat covered in a bland peanut sauce, the pad thai was a mild mush of noodles, the duck was slightlybetter but nothing to write home about, same for the chicken satay. For dessert I ordered the mango over sticky rice, awonderful and easy dish to make, and hard to get wrong, but they did... theirs was awful. Also, their prices are not cheap. Verydisappointing. one of the best thai restaurants i?ve been to in florida. for the amount of food and the price, it was absolutely unbeatable.... the isan papaya salad was very spicy (as requested) and so fresh. the duck pad thai was so incredibly good and there was a hugepiece of duck on top. most of the fat was rendered down to make the skin crispy and there was so much meat. the fried wholesnapper, thought needed a little more sauce, was very crispy and i highly recommend if you like fish. the kao soi with pork wasvery creamy and rich. overall, i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT Read more
This place always slaps. Haven?t had a single bad thing from Isan. Khao Soi is a unique dish I really like to get that I can?t... find a lot of places. Creamy/spicy/sweet coconut curry with thin noodles and a protein of your choice. Read more
Great find. Ambience is most authentic I've seen in the U.S. I typically spend 4-6 months a year in Thailand, much of it in the... Isan area. Was nice to walk in and see the beautiful Thai decor. Service was great and the food even greater. I had Stir fryChicken w cashew and my Thai wife had Larb and SomTom (papaya salad) Thai style. Enjoyed a nice cold beer Chang with the mealand topped it off with Mango/Sticky rice for desert. Next time in Sarasota will definitely visit again. Read more
Put it in your maps or you may miss your turn. You'll be glad you found this restaurant. Angled parking right out front. The... service was quick and friendly, we were seated as soon as we entered. The food is exceptional, all of the right flavorsperfectly chosen for a great meal. Menu pricing is very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxing, and traditional Thai musicplayed in the background. My mom is from this area of Thailand. Trust me in saying, this place is legit. If you want something that typically just that... part of Thailand is known for, try the sausage with lemongrass in it. Just like mamma's. ????????? Read more
On a beautiful Friday afternoon, my wife and I decided that we wanted some Thai food, and so off to Isan Thai Restaurant we... went. We started with a lunch adventure with House Salads served with fresh Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes, Carrots, Onions, andCucumbers in a delicious Ginger dressing. It was a great way to start our meal. We then ordered Pork Potstickers with aflavorful and delicious soy dipping sauce that was amazing. And for our main dishes we had Beef Drunken Noodles and Pad Pak RuamMit both served with adequate portions and the plates were visually appealing. Both plates were cooked to perfection and had alot of flavor and all fresh ingredients. My wife ordered the Thai Tea and I order unsweet Tea. We had no complaints, the servewas excellent, food was plentiful and full of flavor, all well-cooked and with an overall Thai ambiance . They are located rightoff Tamiami Trail, easy to see from the street, and easy parking out front along the street. The interior decor is full Thaiart, decor and architecture. The table cloths were of Thai design with intricate embroidered details with great contrasting andcolorful displays. They have two dining areas on each side of the main entrance and the covered booths provide a feeling ofAsian privacy that is truly unique. A great place to enjoy some great Thai cuisine. Read more
