Wow was this place packed! It's huge inside and goes back pretty fair, has a patio for outdoor seating, and a good sized bar. ... Every seat was taken. Good for them.....not so good for us. We opted to sit outside and it took over 20 minutes for someone tocome to the table. When they did come over, my husband was in the rest room and the server asked me if I was ready to order. Wedidn't even have menus. We were brought bread and water and when I asked the gentleman what he likes to eat, he shook his headand left. At that point it started raining sideways and were getting soaked. We ran inside and managed to get 2 seats at theend of the bar. There was 1 bartender managing the entire place.....I don't even know how he did it but props to him. He madedrinks fast and didn't compromise taste with them. He was a super star. We managed to get an app ...the arancini or rice ballsand they were hot and yummy. The bread and dips were also. We never saw another server again after that and we wrapped our nightup.... it was a fail. The place smelled amazing and we were disappointed to not have had the chance to eat more. I'm not sureif they were short staffed becuase no one communicated....it was unorganized chaos inside. We will probably give them anotherchance becuase the menu looks and smells amazing. Authentic incredible Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere and superior service. What more could one ask for? The food... was absolutely delicious and the home made Tiramisu was out of this world. I was torn between ordering pasta which lookedphenomenal and the Osso Bucco. I did not regret my decision. Fall off the bone mouth watering and delightful. I will have tocome back to try the pasta and pizza. Read more

Very nice restaurant with attentive staff and very flavorful food. The bread is delicious and baked in house. The pizza is... great, made in a proper stone oven and with Italian flour. Make sure you make room to eat a lot, it will be worth it! Read more

Right on Main Street in downtown Sarasota, this restaurant , the Mediterraneo, is a above average spot to dine. I tried a... Greek salad with feta cheese and a light olive oil and lemon dressing for an appetizer, followed by a pasta dish with shreddedsausage and broccoli Rabe in a similar dressing as the salad. Both were incredibly good. Good meal and atmosphere. Read more

Mama Mia!!!!! I love this place. Last minute plans for dinner brought us to this place around 9:55pm. Even though they will... close by 10pm, the owner came out to greet us and found us a table and service. We felt so welcomed. The food was on point.highly recommend it Read more

Best chicken parmesan I've ever had. The whole table took a piece and agreed. The expresso martini was to die for. Excellent... service all night. If you can get a reservation, I highly recommend checking this place. Read more
