My wife and I are from Tennessee and were in Sarasota for our anniversary. We made reservations at Selva and made a notation on... our Open Table reso that we were celebrating our anniversary and recommend outdoor seating. When we arrived our patio table wasdecorated beautifully with a sign and 3 roses acknowledging our special event. The server was wonderful and extremelyknowledgeable about the food and wine pairing. We had the most delicious meal of our lives, was visited by the manager to offerhis congratulations and we also received a complimentary dessert with ‘Happy Anniversary’ drizzled in chocolate sauce. I must admit that food is greater than the service at Selva. Good quality food, very fresh fish and nice presentation. It’s a... pity that sometimes they cancel your outdoor reservation even if it’s not raining and force you indoor. They unexpectedlymoved us from the patio to the last table close to the kitchen which was too noisy for us and our place outdoor was given tosomeone else for bar service. This was a little bit disappointing, I am dropping down one star for this. Read more
My friend and I were exploring Sarasota and wanted a very light meal before we head home, and we found this place. Reservation... was quick and easy. The ambiance was nice and intimate. I got the grapefruit basil martini and it was good, I ordered the smokesalmon causa which was so delicious it was hitting all the right spots, also the garnish was impeccable; my friend got the spicytuna ceviche which she said she loved what she got, I was able to try it and it was bursting with flavors as well. We regretteddining there late but we agreed on going back for another time which is not closer to closing hours lol because everything wasjust amazing. Read more
Wanted something trendy and outside for drinks and dinner. Selva fit the bill nicely. It was chilly, but the heaters did the job... to make our table of 6 nice and cozy. Drinks were delivered while we planned out plates to share. Service, food, andpresentation was all quite nice. The interior is well done too. A nice find and pleasant experience. Read more
Excellent experience. We had paella, salmon, crab appetizer and key lime pie. Also tuna ceviche. Service was impeccable.... Presentation met with deliciousness of the food. Will definitely go again! Read more

Happening, downtown restaurant with lots of good menu options. My Octopus Appetizer was too hot for me, but the Manager kindly... replaced it with another item and took it off the bill, so that was handled very well. The drinks were creative and tasty. Hands down the best paella I have had outside of Spain. Every single dish was meticulously put together to have everything make... sense. Such a special place Selva is, making me want to come back to Sarasota just to come back to Selva! Read more
