I love Sonny’s but Im not sure I’ll go back to this location. I ordered online for curbside pickup and waited and waited. I... waited 30 minutes for a sandwich and a drink before I went inside to ask about my order. The person behind the counter wasindifferent and walked over to the shelf. She picked it up and said I don’t know how I missed that and handed it to me. Shedidn’t apologize or say good bye, have a nice night. Not a word. I have given Sonny's the benefit of the doubt too many times. My g/f and I get take out here regularly (why we continue to... torture ourselves and throw our hard-earned money down the drain, I do not know), and there is a problem every single time. Thebiggest assumed benefit of a chain restaurant should be consistency, but this Sonny's goes above and beyond to make sure theonly thing consistent is the customer being disappointed and the quality of the food mediocre at absolute best and at worst,like in tonight's case, 100% uneatable. This picture shows that my ribs were burnt to a crisp with 0 eatable meat. How anemployee could see those ribs and think they were presentable to serve to a customer only shows the lack of care and pride thisestablishment possesses. Not only were they burnt and inedible, but to add insult to injury, these were not even the ribs Iordered. I ordered dry rub, and these had sauce on them. This is only one incident of many. My coleslaw had been left outbefore, and after calling back, the manager stated I would be credited the money back to the card I used. Needless to say, Inever received the credit. I have also my received orders with zero sauce in them. With all due respect, this Sonny's is anabomination, and I will never spend another dollar here as long as I live in Sarasota. Read more

Beef has changed somehow, but was still good. Overall, it is a place you can depend on for BBQ & garlic bread and potatoes... (tots were better” this time.) Sweet tea was good. Service was good. Thanks! Read more

I love this place it's great I order take out all the time. But right now I am so upset. I ordered take out like I always have... and the lady even asks what kind of bbq sauce I tell her. I get all the way home which is 20 mins away and no Bbq sauce. Thissucks. Now Hubby and i have to go buy bbq sauce at the store just to eat our 32.00 lunch. Guess I will have to sadly startchecking the bag if we decide to go back. Read more
Grilled not grilled not smoked ! Service bad . No paper towels ask 2 times , never got a drink refill. We did get silverware... after the food was cold . When we left part of the staff was out back on smoke break and leaning against our rental car . Read more
They literally delivered me someone else's food, on purpose, because they clearly changed the name. I was missing 1lb of brisket... and condiments and utensils. Now I have to fight with grub hub for about $30 worth of food and it's annoying. What was deliveredhad clearly been sitting for a long time after "susan" abandoned her order. Very disappointing ????
