So sad to see how far this place has fallen. I literally drive directly there when I come back to my home town. The last few... times I?ve been in Sarasota it?s not been the experience I so used to love. Today after driving for four days and blowing twotires on two different days I decided I would enjoy my favorite meal. This was not possible because they did not follow thedirections of my online order and both of our meals were inedible two our standards. So exhausted and still very hungry I writethis review about my last experience at what used to be my favorite restaurant. So sad I?ve told people about this place as I?vetraveled across the country over and over again. To those of you that I may have led to here, I?m sorry. Seriously? How do you people get this place 4.3 stars? This place shall not be in business, their food is disgusting, the worst... taco and burrito I ever tried in the last years. go get you anything in any other place around and that will be much better.Tijuana Flats should change their menu and ingredients. Sauces are gross. Getting Burrito there is like getting a piece of rawdough with refrozen dead precooked ingredients that they get in dollar store. Avoid this place if you like tasty nice food. I hate writing negative reviews. But given my last two visits to this location I felt the need to share. Last time they... literally forgot my order. After paying for my food and waiting a significant amount of time I finally asked for an update on myorder and they said it got lost. For today's visit, which will be the last time I ever go to this location, I have attached aphoto of what they apparently define as a $4 chicken taco. I also submitted my order online to try and save time but thatdoesn't do any good. I thought submitting my order online would save some time but I counted 5 people to walk in, order in therestaurant and receive their food before mine was brought out. I?ve been eating at Tflats for my entire adult life. This is the worst location ever. Our order was wrong. They didn?t give me... the dressing for my salad, I even paid for an extra container and it was missing. The guacamole on my salad was brown. Thechicken is also much smaller then my regular location. Our tacos were stale and barely filled. The rice has no seasoning on it?It?s usually an orange/red color??? What?s going on here? We had a bad experience last time too but I thought it was just a oneoff. Obviously not since they once again messed up. Read more
I would have gave it 5 stars it they forgot the sour cream on chicken enchiladas. The BEST thing about it is the chips and... queso. Their cheese sauce tastes a lot like Nacho cheese Doritos but think of it as, "As much cheese as you want on the chips"It's awesome. The restaurant is fast food and the music is a little loud and is geared towards millennials playing somealternative rock with an occasional rap song. Definitely worth checking out! Read more
I think we found our go to place for Mexican food! YUM ????! We stopped there on our way home from Sarasota looking for... something quick. Not knowing that it would also be delicious! We sat outside, there was a nice breeze so it was fine. But theyhave inside seating as well. The place is very colorfully decorated. It?s a fun ambiance. Check it out, if you haven?t already.They have specials on Tuesdays and Thursday. Also for the 25th anniversary they have specials everyday between 2-5pm. You doneed to go inside to order and pay for your food and they will bring it to your table. The customer service was great....5 starsfor that alone! Read more
The place is a bit tight and wasn't what I expected. That being said, we were there for a school fundraiser and it was obviously... understaffed to handle a planned event. We never did order any food because the wait time was 45 minutes. Hopefully, we'll haveanother opportunity and that time will be better planned by the establishment. Read more
