I ordered off the vegan menu and there were so many options to choose from! We started with the veggie tempura which was light... (not heavy or dense) and delicious. I ordered the Gandhi and Green Isand rolls. My friend ordered sushi off the non-vegan menu.We both enjoyed our rolls. Our server was great- brought my friend a very spicy hot sauce ???????? because she asked for a rollwith siracha. I never leave reviews, but after the superb meal I had today, I just HAD to. Kind wait staff, great prices, AMAZING food, and a... large vegan/vegetarian section- very diet friendly! I had the “lava rock” which was 6 pieces of filet you could cookyourself on a hot rock, and let me just say it was the most tender, tasty, melt-in-your-mouth meat I have ever had. As a vegan I am always looking out for vegan options! This place definitely has options. However, please beware! Not everything... on the vegan menu is vegan. They use the same friers for their "vegan" tempura items as they do for their animalproducts. Also, staff members informed me that the ginger sauce is not vegan. That being such a bummer they do have some otheroptions that don't have fried items. Just be aware and ask questions. My boyfriend and I order from here almost weekly and it’s usually a 5 star review from us. But tonight we were pretty upset by... our order. My boyfriend ordered the salmon love roll per usual and three rolls seemed off to him. We looked inside and foundshrimp tempura in one -which shouldn’t be in the roll at all and the other two only had avocado inside and tempura flakes -also shouldn’t be in the roll (pictured). The Kani salad that we always get and truly sold us on this place also was reallllywatery tonight. Hopefully this was a fluke because we were pretty excited about getting a closer location to where we live inLWR but if this is new norm it’ll be true let down. Read more

I took a work group to Tsunami Sushi and they did not let us down!! We had a few appetizers and the favorite was the Lava Stone... steaks!! They bring a stone that’s about 4,000,000 degrees to your table and you cook little filet slices on it. It was sogood we ordered 2 extras!! We also orders calamari and everyone at the table said it was the best they have ever had!! It wastender, not chewy and dipping sauce had just a little heat! Then we ordered a few rolls and some sashimi for the table toshare. My favorite roll has seaweed salad on top (I can’t remember the name). All was so good!!! The only let down was thewhite tuna sashimi. It was a little firm and bland and I’m used to it being mush more tender and flavorful. Otherwise, aflawless dinner. I highly recommend Tsunami!!! Omg! What amazing food. I’ve never enjoyed my food so much at a restaurant! From the soup to dessert, it was all top notch! I... ordered the TNT rolls, cucumber rolls and my bf had the hibachi steak. It was my bf’s birthday but I didn’t get a chance totell the waiter privately, I looked up a birthday cake picture on google and when my bf wasn’t looking I put my phone up andthe waiter understood me! I had the privilege to celebrate The gift of live party at tsunami hibachi grill downtown. I could’ve not pick A better venue... to celebrate life. I was in very good hands of the whole team of tsunami. I want to thank you all for making this a specialevent. Special thanks go out to Samuel, Lauren and Jeffery.
