Came here for a post-engagement dinner a few months back and just wanted to mention what a great experience we had. While my... fiance was only able to make a bar reservation over the phone, when we got there, a booth was awaiting us! The whole staff weresweet to congratulate us and took good care of us throughout the entire service. All the food came out hot and delicious (VealOsso Buco, Chilean Sea bass, Zeppoles [not pictured: truffle parm fries]). Would be back for the fries alone! My wife and I attended this evening. We started things off with the shrimp and the truffle tortellini. The shrimp sadly was... forgotten, but we didn't really need it anyway. The truffle tortellini had a very delicate flavor but tasted very good. Ourentrees came shortly after, scallops and Singapore noodles. The scallops sadly were under seasoned and the pork belly was veryvery tough. But the puree under the scallops tasted good. My wife's noodles tasted very good, but I feel most of the flavor camefrom the sauces it was drowned in. However, it was very good comfort food. We finished our entrees and the desserts again camepromptly. Cherry ricotta cake and coconut pastry cake. The cherry ricotta cake tasted good, but it had a bit of a strangetexture, but that might just be because I'm not used to the way it's made. The cherries on top tasted delicious and the homemadewhipped cream with pine nuts was very good. However, the aftertaste had a bit of a chemical taste to it. The coconut cake wasgood but the only coconut seemed to be sprinkled on top. It would have been better if the coconut was better integrated into thecream. The shortbread was also very thick. The service was extremely attentive, almost to a fault. I don't feel having ourglasses filled for us every 90 seconds when we've taken one sip was necessary. I'm not exaggerating. My wife at one point hadn'teven taken a sip and they were refilling already and reaching around us. I gave this restaurant four stars. My justificationwas that the food was pretty good with a few issues but nothing mind-blowing. The service as I mentioned was very attentive andeveryone was very kind. I only deducted one star for minor inconveniences and flavor incompatibility but that's just for me. Absolutely fantastic food and service. We made a reservation for the patio as the restaurant was booked until late. What a... great atmosphere! We started with the Korean Crispy Shrimp per our server's recommendation, very good! I had the PORK CHOPSCARPARIELLO (server also recommended) which was amazing. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which was also fantastic. Drinks weredelicious and food was prepared perfectly. Next time we're in town we will definitely be visiting again! Read more
15 church street is not just your average restaurant. You have to reserve a table. I added the receipt so you can see the cost.... I must say the classy vibes, music and food is really good. The drinks are very tasty and on point. The food is cooked toperfection, I don't think I've ever had pasta taste so good! There flavor of everything is like a party in your mouth. Thewaiters are very very nice and knowledgeable about the food. The service was impeccable. The bathroom is very clean and smellsamazing. We went to 15 Church to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. Soaking in the decor with... their well made drinks (I had a Manhattan and my wife had their Blood Orange Margarita) set the meal off to a delightfulstart. While the ambiance is quite nice in the dining room, the food takes it to the next level. We started with an amazingfried oyster appetizer that was creamy and delicious thanks to foie gras butter and creamy leeks. The other appetizer weenjoyed was the tender grilled octopus, which masterfully paired pork belly and crispy potatoes with Asian accents. For dinner,they upscaled the shrimp calabrese to which they add pasta. This was most likely a mistake, given I wasn’t that hungry, and itwas positively enormous when it showed up. Did I mention is was delicious though? And packed with SO MANY SHRIMP. Likeseriously, I must have eaten at least a dozen, and there probably over half a dozen more. My wife enjoyed the special, whichfeature lobster and squid ink pasta. This was also delicious, and frankly huge. Given the amount of lobster, it was nothing ifnot fairly priced (and generous). Finishing on zeppoles and cappuccino was a nice touch too, but they were shown up by the restof meal, and quite frankly, the service. The service here is among the best I’ve had anywhere in the country in the lastyear. The waitress made an effort to learn everyone’s names, and was quick and friendly throughout. Before we even got therethey were helpful. In finding out we had a wake to attend the next day, they even helped move the reservation we had toaccommodate. Overall, I can’t recommend 15 Church enough. The service and food are exceptional!! Read more
