Food was underwhelming. My salmon was overcooked. Staff was polite but we did have to ask for water 3 times, and had to ask for... to go containers. In general staff didn't feel very attentive even with the resturant being pretty empty. They didn't take ourappetizer plates and tried serving us entrees with the app plates still on the table so we felt obligated to stack and move themto make space. The service was friendly. I enjoyed my chicken cordon Bleu and my wife enjoyed her schnitzel. However, I drove 4 hours for... Bitterballen. I left a bit disappointed. The texture inside and out was fine. The flavor, though, definitely had a tinge ofcurry powder and authentic Dutch bitterballen should taste beefy and buttery. The apfelstrudel was outstanding. Had soup and salad. The French Onion Soup was $9. It was delicious and very cheesy. The Finger Lake salad was $13. Including... strawberries, blueberries, blue cheese, and walnuts. Finally got to visit here. Great to taste the Belgian beers again. Menu selection matched well as a pan-nothern-European style... which allows a great contrasting range of choices (in other words, there's more than just schnitzels that will impress!). Thequality and preparation of the food was excellent, with good portion size that tasted every bit as good as it looked. Our waitstaff was friend and attentive. Me and a friend of mine are currently travelling and we love to try new foods. Today I got the Black Forest Veal Schnitzel and... it is easily the BEST meal I've EVER had. It was absolutely wonderful, the meat was very tender and flavorful. My friend got theSwedish meatballs and they were delicious! We also got the apple studel which was perfect and the fresh whipped cream justmelted in my mouth. The staff was very friendly and attentive. For those who are reading for information on the parkingsituation ????: The restaurant is on the street, but luckily there is a parking garage basically across the street! Veryconvenient. The best German food in the area. The potato pancakes were delicious. Extensive menu. Did not get entrees but a few shared... plates with soups. The potato leek soup was excellent. Lots of GF and Vegan options. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Read more
