We were visiting Saratoga Springs and drove by Hattie's. We read the history of Hattie and decided to give it a try. We ordered... the fried chicken, sweet potato fries and red beans and rice. The chicken was decent, the sweet potato fries were good but thered beans and rice is a big no from both my husband and I.....they need to take that off the menu. I gave four stars because theemployees were nice. I really wanted an order of fried green tomatoes and they were all out but the cook said they had a fewleft and gave them to us for free. Loved LOVED this fried chicken. So happy to find a great fried chicken restaurant. Staff extremely friendly and atmosphere is... easy going and spacious. Will definitely make the trip back to eat there again. So good I had to buy a tshirt. Read more
Good fried chicken bone licking, with Colonel Tomas
We?ve eaten there 3 times in 3 years and won?t be returning any time soon. The first visit was in the dead of winter with 3... other family members and everything was excellent. The last 2 visits were Ho-hum in food quality and comfort (cold inside). Lukewarm chicken, waffles and potatoes, yuck. Very dull and limited food choices. Read more
