Very disappointed in the quality of the experience. I have been coming to Longfellows over the past 30 years and it has gone... downhill since. The food was good but there was no soup or salad with the entree and no choice in potatoes such as baked mashedor French fries. You use to get a bread basket that had several choices of rolls Now the rolls are just generic nothing special.The whole meal was just mediocre not over the top. MUST TRY! My husband and I stopped here after our boat tour (with Adirondack cruise and charter co. - also recommend) around... 7:30, we were seated right away! I ordered a strawberry smash cocktail and it was phenomenal (I ended up getting a second). Wesplit an order of the pretzels and cheese. They were alright, not the best we've gotten in Saratoga though. Entrees - I orderedthe braised short ribs, so good, moist and tender enough that you only need your fork! And my husband got the ricotta and potatognocchi with bourbon bacon, the bourbon bacon was a perfect balance to the rich gnocchi! For dessert we ordered theircheesecake special (peanut butter cup) very good, if they have it get it! Last but certainly not least... Our server Keenan wasan absolute delight! He was so kind and had great recommendations when we asked. So good that even if the food was so-so hispersonality would have made it worth it!! Read more
We recently had our 50th anniversary celebration at Longfellow’s and everything was wonderful. John ensured that even during... the very busy track season we had a quiet, slightly out of the way spot to share the day with our family. And our server,Keenan, despite getting busier with other tables as the evening wore on, gave us excellent service. He often popped back to askif we needed anything else, but not too often. And even with varying age groups and food preferences he ensured that everyonegot what they wanted. And he did it all with a smile. I got the special Japanese style breaded (light) Haddock. (A white delicate fish). They were very accommodating when I asked... about changing the sauce. It was delicious!! I haven't enjoyed white fish this much since Hawaii! Read more
Took my son here for his Graduation dinner and he got the Veal Sausage and I got the St.Louis Rib dinner. His was very tasty but... didn’t receive much of the sausage, the ribs were like a half rack and some beans on the side, way to much bbq sauce, way overpriced for what you got. The service was excellent, never had to ask for them, they were always at your table checking on you. Read more
