My review for this restaurant is based on service. After reading reviews, I see others had similar run ins. A few weeks back I... made reservations through open table (app) for our upcoming trip to lake George/Saratoga. Today, 2 days before we arriveCarolann, a manager at this location called me to say based on the way I filled out my reservations the restaurant will notaccommodate me. Assuming I did something wrong, I listened to her crudely explain all the reasons why she will be canceling myreserve. I put a table of 5 but in the notes I wrote 4 adults, 1 toddler, 2 infants. Okay, I understand now that perhaps Ishould Of chose a table of 7 so the proper table would be held( I don’t know why I figured to only put the bodies that wouldbe eating a meal). I would like to point out that I did this for all 5 of our other dinner reservations for the week. After, Icalled around to correct all my reservations to 7 . They all laughed and said “it’s absolutely fine”. Okay back to TheBrook Tavern- Trust me, I’m not upset I won’t be eating at this restaurant- what remains unprofessional and out of line washow unbelievably annoyed Carolann was that I didn’t properly put a party of 7. Not quite sure why I needed her to rudely say“where are the babies sitting!?!? On your lap!!!? Are the babies sitting on your lap!” Or “I have no idea why you put allthis stuff in the comment section!?!?” Strange behavior! By the end of the conversation I asked her to just hurry up andcancel it already- Yikes!!!- I’d never want this lady representing my restaurant. Read more
Overall great experience. We dined for the first time here for my husband's birthday. The filets and delmonico were delicious... with a great char. The French onion soup was delicious. The desserts were great. There was something for everyone. Theydiscreetly came out singing to my husband. The staff was very attentive and very pleasant. We will be returning! Read more
We had an amazing meal here last night. I had the tuna tartare and my husband had the chicken salad. The drinks were... delicious, staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The lights are low, the seating is cozy and they had a great band,the evidence that plays there regularly. We can’t wait to come back, thank you! Read more
6/10 my wife and I celebrated or 33 wedding anniversary at Brooks Tavern. First time there. Wonderful old Saratoga charm loved... it. Meal was delicious . Will come back. Only thing to be aware of is it can be hard to find parking give your self extra timeto drive around looking for a spot Read more
Excellent service, it’s a shame we forgot our servers name but he was excellent- super attentive and warm. Good location, off... the main drag a bit. Nice atmosphere and good food. Definitely recommend for an easy, nice dinner. Read more
This food is delicious! We started with the mussels and a bottle of Tuscan red wine. Phenomenal--the garlic lemon butter sauce... was out of this world! Our waiter Lawrence was awesome and even gave us extra bread for the leftover mussel sauce! I got thesoft shell crab sandwich special, exceptional! My fiance got the brook salad with salmon, absolutely amazing! Our friend got thepork chop and I had a taste and it was the most moist and delicious pork chop I've ever had! I can't even begin to say enough about this place ... The 24 oz T-Bone cooked to a perfect mid rare , the chicken was delicious,... NY strip was crazy and the ribs fell off the bone delicious. The caper for the evening was the Coconut Cream Pie ... I can'teven describe how incredible it was. It was so good, I asked for a whole pie to go . Unfortunately they said it would be 20min because it's made there from scratch !!! WOW. Fortunately live close enough that I will swing up for one next week . Longstory short ... Fantastic service, exceptional food, 4 adults, few cocktails, couple apps, dinners and dessert, $215 on themoney. It's worth the visit folks ! Read more
