This place was nice and it was right by the marina/lake which made a winning combination.\n\nThe staff seemed pleasant although... they seemed unsure of the offer of the day etc. There was a brewery on site that was pretty impressive but i didn?t see or hearof any patrons near us that ordered the ?brewery specific beer? to peak my interest in trying it.\n\nThe food was pretty goodand they allowed dogs in the outside picnic table area which was cool but became problematic when the dogs started growling andbarking at each other. It was not the relaxing vibe I was looking for.\n\nThe pricing was pretty good and consistent with otherrestaurants in the area. The only downfall of this place was that you had to walk to the building to pay as they?re wifi or thesignal for their debit machines wasn?t strong enough to accompany the likely potential 50 + potential patrons they were able toseat.\n\nNot a bad stop if you are in the area though. First time at the Big Family. Large garage doors that open for a great view of the water. Craft beer to start. Started with... the onion rings. Best onion rings ever. Light and not greasy. I had the pickerel dinner which was a large fillet, lightlycoated. Not greasy at all as it was not deep fried. My husband had the beef brisket sandwich. Very tasty. Great fries camewith both meals. Dessert were these hot mini donuts with 2 types of dipping sauces, caramel and chocolate. Make sure you leaveroom for these. Read more

Great Local Brewery, we are from out of town, highly recommended, nice spot by the water, open garage doors. Food was very good... \"Pub Food\" , we had the Red Ale agian very good. When in Sarnia support the local Craft Brewery and visit the Big FamilyBrewing Company. Read more
Had dinner here today. Very nice set up with the bar at the back facing the water. The arancini was pretty tasty. The duck bao... buns I didn\'t care for. The buns weren\'t steamed, were cold and dense. Very little filling and need a sauce I feel. Fries werereally nice thou. Super crispy like Costcos fries. Read more
Beautiful presentation. Amazing fries. But that is it.\n\nThe brisket sandwich had no flavor. No salt, no pepper, and the... mushrooms were somewhere else not here.\n\nThe Duck Ban almost did not had any meat on it. It was no extremely dry. I could onlytaste the cilantro on top, nothing else.\n\nThe Red Ale was okay. In my opinion has an alcoholic taste not tradition on thisstyle.\n\nThe great customer service, and the view made it a 3 start instead of 2. Read more
Was in Sarnia for the evening and walked the water pathway to Big Family. Sat out on the patio and enjoyed the great weather.... The food was excellent and the beer was great. Had 2 flights of 8 different beers and all were quite tasty. I don\'t remeber ourservers name, but she was excellent. Very knowledgeable in the beers. Will definately go back again when in town.
