This is a pleasant place for lunch, in the historic old train station. The aroma of old polished wood surfaces is a familiar one... back in Victoria. Not so much here in Saskatoon. Meal portions for our lunch were really generous. However the front sidewalkalong the front entrance requires some caution with an abrupt drop-off and little to mark the best way to negotiate a safe entryor exit after, especially in Winter, which is very long here. The portion was good but tge food not so much. Definitely not what it used to be. Ribs were very small and no seasoning, and the... caeser salad was a joke! No parm, no lemon, 4 croutons and fake simulated bacon bits, I asked for extra lemon for the ribsthanks goodness because there was none for the ribs or cease that came with the meal.I was looking forward to a good salad aribs. Won't be back. Read more

I ordered take out at the restaurant and unfortunately felt like I was being an inconvenience, as soon as I walked in the door.... The hostess was very short, rude and snappy with me. Some manners would have been amazing. The portions were small and verybland, not to mention the ribs tasted off and the portion size of the lasagna was small & tasteless. The location on 8th streetand Warman are very good, I would recommend bypassing this location on Idylwyld in the future. Read more

We came in to the city tonight and remembered years ago the exceptional food and service we once had here. I ordered Greek back... ribs ( they were old pork side ribs ) and my wife ordered chicken asparagus with cheese and she got a slab of fried chickenbreast . When o confronted the waitress she looked at me like we didn?t know what we were talking about. Also the menu gives youa choice of cheese bread or garlic bread with each meal, so we ordered cheese bread and when we asked for cheese bread they saidsorry we are out but you can pay $2.00 more per slice and we can make it for you. I will never be back again . Not the Thomascook I was accustomed too. Read more

They serve huge portions. Sadly, they no longer offer cheese-toast). Theowner came to check on a which I thought was a nice touch. Read more
