The food was terrible! This was the second time I ate here the first time it was okay. But this time the bread tasted dry... definitely not homemade. Fresh flavor! French Fries are childhood amazing

For YEARS I've LOVED this place. I was born/raised in Philly so I know a good cheesesteak place when I see one..I'm upset I... didn't get photos..but I had gotten a large sized sub, my bf got an x-large. His was packed with meat & looked pretty good.However my large sub which was wrapped in foil & cut in half obviously with the wrapper on..so by the time I got home my sub wasa soggy mess..I figured whatever these things are always great & opened it up....UM NO..so when I opened up the foil on thefirst half of my large sub..there was nothing in there but onions and the teenist bit of meat!..it was honestly a joke! I'mstill in shock they thought that was an acceptable sub to give someone especially for $20!, it was literally a flat/soggy onionsandwich! It's like they gave my bf a bit of meat so to cut costs they did me dirty. The other half of the sandwich was the sameexact same way..nothing but soggy bread, soggy onions and hardly no meat or any cheese whiz..which ironically we asked for extra(not knowing I'd need it) cause I love mine with a lot..which they charged us $1 for an extra teeny squirt! YOU GUYS NEED A NEWCOOK or something because you'll for sure be losing customers left & right. ALSO, if your customers just spent $40 at yourestablishment they atleast deserve FREE cheeze whiz! ....YOU GUYS ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF THIEVES! Quaint little sit down restaurant. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Best Philly around town is done here. The bread... makes the sandwich and they have the proper bread!! If it?s your first visit, don?t over complicate your order. You want a LargeAuthentic with Wiz. With or without onions, both ways are delicious. Go ahead and order some fries as they taste like old schoolbowling alley fries. Once you?ve had an authentic, venture down the rest of the menu on future visits. I just consumed a largeauthentic with wiz, a chili cheese dog, and an order or mozzarella sticks. My appetite has been quenched. The wife enjoyed herchicken cheesesteak very much.
