We came here because the brewery up the road had a 45 minute wait and reviews were good. La Mexicana did not dissapoint. Plates... were about $10-$15 each and they came with plenty of food. Free first basket of chips and sals, but seconds are extra. Iappreciate this because it did not spoil my actual entree, otherwise I would be tempted to house those chips. I ordered theToquitos Dorados (I think this is what they were called), something I have not seen on a mexican menu before. The tortillas werefried to perfection, a crunchy golden brown. The wait staff was happy to let me get 2 chicken taquitos and 2 cheese taquitos,even though the menu asks you to have one or the other. We all loved our food, it was delicious! The wait staff was so friendlyand very neighborly; they were happy to help us. Drinks were cheap and margaritas were sizeable! Like really, really big.Definitely worth the value. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the salsa served with the chips, but that was my personalpreferences. The bottled hot sauces were more my speed, and they were much better in my opinion.
