We were passing by and it looked so inviting, we couldn?t resist. It?s a nice shop with nice atmosphere, nice people and plenty... of goodies. I had vanilla ice cream in a signature waffle cone and it was delicious. We bought some truffles and pecans forourselves and for gifts and it was delicious as well. Read more
This is the best place in the Sault for hand scooped ice cream with a huge selection of flavors. They make their own fresh... waffle cones and you can even get them coated in dark chocolate. They also have a large selection and handmade fudge andchocolate candies. This is a favorite stop for many local people. Read more
This was a Fun place to stop. We were visiting Sault Ste Marie with friends and stopped in here for a little sweet treat after... hiting several of the Gift shops on the Main drag across from Soo Locks. Inside we found just what we were looking for ? alarge colorful selection of Ice Creams, Sorbets, Fudge, Cookies, and pastries and a nice set of booths to sit and enjoy ourtreats. The ice creams were really good and not too expensive and served up on waffle cones that were freshly made there at theshop. It was neat watching them make the waffle cones and our friends enjoying eating them and then ice cream ? you would havethought they were newlyweds. (Oops they are). Slipped in a couple of samples of fudge while there as well ? which was tasty buta little hard (not quite melt in your mouth fresh fudge). If you are thirsty they also have a nice assortment of shakes andfloats to take care of that too. Worth the stop at an overall 3.5 Stars bumped up to a 4 Star score because it was fun. Read more
Our favorite place in The Soo to get ice cream! We have been visiting Zak's for years, as long as I can remember. Even though... I've moved away from The Soo, whenever I'm back for a visit I always visit Zak's for an ice cream in a yummy waffle cone -homemade right there in-shop!! They also sell German almonds, Carmel corn and FUDGE! All the best items right in one spot!Plus, they offer the finest in hand-dipped ice cream - Hudsonville brand! And their flavors are ever-changing so it is afantastic array of change each visit. :) Read more
The fudge here is delicious! We tried several different varieties, and they were all great. The sea salt caramel is a prize... winner, and it's easy to see why. So delicious! The service here was very good, and we got some good recommendations before wemade out selections. They also have ice cream, popcorn, and other treats. The shop is cute on the inside as well.
