We ate a late lunch on the lovely back patio and enjoyed watching the cyclists on the nearby bike path and the river beyond. We... had a variety of sandwiches and Flatbreads and which were simply delicious. The side orders of fries were very generous andwonderfully hot and salty! The Bloody Mary's were yummy, too. We would highly recommend a stop at this homey sweet restaurant.It's such a nice break from the same old restaurant food and has it's own personality. Read more

Fantastic restaurant - completed our trip to Mississippi Palisades State Park for Mother's Day. Their menu is mouthwatering,... service is excellent, and the flowers on the table - I felt like I was their mom and they got me only the best flowers in theworld!! My kids loved their food. I unfortunately was fasting that day, but I will say the iced tea was impeccable ;) Reallywant to go back, it's almost worth the 2.25 hour drive for me just to go here! Nicely done Ca. 1888! A place you wouldn't really expect in a small town like Savanna, IL. We were extremely surprised about the amazing variety of... different options Jocelyn offers in her little, cozy, Chicago-style restaurant. Definitely not the standard bar food. A greatrange of offbeat dishes with good vegetarian options too. The outside area is stunning with an amazing view over the Mississippiriver and a perfect spot for a sundowner. Read more
First visit to Savanna. The service, food and prices were all great! I'd definitely recommend without hesitation. The only... negative side is I live a few hours away so I can't frequent it more often! I had the philly cheese steak with provolone and aside salad. I'm not exactly sure what brand of ranch dressing was used but it was EXTREMELY good! My hoagie was great! Myfriends both ordered cheeseburgers, medium with everything on it and fries. The burgers were cooked exactly as ordered. If I'mever in the area in the future I'll DEFINITELY be stopping in for a great meal! Read more

The service was very good, they refilled drinks without having to be asked and they were helpful. We sat on the patio, which was... lovely. We enjoyed looking out at the river and watching the river and the occasional train go by. The German potato salad wasgreat, but if you love French dip, it's a good one, but not an amazing one. The only reason I did not give five stars was thetime it took to get the food from the kitchen. For two sandwiches, it took more than 30 minutes. Read more
