Not a real big fan of bbq there is a whole lot of flavor not sure if it was just overwhelming me or what. I tried the smoke... mushrooms and squash casserole the mushrooms didn?t really like the taste I think I like it more just buttered the squash had alot going on. I liked it at first then it just became to much I had to put it down. The last thing is the banana pudding I wasextremely disappointed they don?t put in actual bananas so for me it?s a no go. Everything here is just delicious, we have been a few times and I have never been disappointed. Friendly staff, food comes out... fast and it?s always fresh and hot. You?ll love the house made dressings, bbq sauces and ketchup. They even source local honeyfor their sauces. Read more
We ate there on Labor day and was able to walk right in and get a table. The restaurant wasn't packed but it had a steady flow... of customers. For appetizers, we ordered the fried pickles. The batter was tasty but the pickles were not fried long enough sothey were soggy. For entrees we ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, cole slaw and baked beans. Again the fries weresoggy???? The cole slaw was tasty but babe those baked beans were bussin????????????My hubs ordered the sliced brisket withhouse salad and asparagus. His portion size was small and I think he would've still been hungry had I not shared half of mysandwich. But he said everything was tasty and he would order it again. I caught the foodtruck outside of the apartment complex and I gotta say WOW! Frank is the man! The pulled pork sandwich was... PACKED with deliciousness and sides of Mac n cheese and collards. I like the layout of the restaurant but was disappointed in the food and service. I sat at the bar because I have heard about... the great whiskey selection.. I was told there was no list as they changed soo often. After looking over the bottles I neverwas asked if I would like anything, wasnt crazy about the bar service. For my food I asked if they had pulled pork and I wastold that would be the pork shoulder.. it came out chopped not pulled and fatty. It is a little pricier that I'm used to for abbq plate. The bbq sauce which is vinegar based was extremely tomato based and mixing that with ketchup for the fries was toomuch. More of a sit down restaurant than a BBQ joint. Food was very good though. Sandwiches are served on really buttery bread and I?d... highly recommend the poutine if you like blue cheese. Wish they had some sort of sampler platter, the ribs and brisket areriskily costly when you don?t know the quality of BBQ they are serving. Read more
Wandered into this neighborhood, and wanted to try the BBQ. Everything is original recipe, and very yummy! I ordered the... Smoked Wings entree. I substituted macaroni and cheese for the Coleslaw, and tried all four sauces. My favorite was the BrownSugar & Boubon. My husband ordered the BurgerTown, and felt it was one of the best burgers he's had. Everything was superfresh, and we loved the vibe of the restaurant. Read more
I had a taste for BBQ yesterday two days ago and searched for a restaurant in the area. I read different reviews and decided to... give BowTie a try. They did not disappoint! From entering to leaving with my food was a great experience. The hostess/server wasvery professional and attentive. The gentleman who appeared to be the manager or chef was very pleasant as well. Everything ismade in house and is fresh, including their ketchup. I ordered the chopped BBQ plate with collards and fries. The sauces aredelicious and there are a few options. (They have pork and chicken BBQ FYI). My husband sampled some of my food and he gave thethumbs up. That says a lot. My one suggestion would be to cut the collards a little smaller and add a tad more seasoning.Otherwise everything was delicious. Good job with the sweet tea? just right!
