Had the pleasure of spending the last few days staying at the wonderfully appointed cottages and experiencing the grounds at... Cohen’s Retreat. They’ve done an excellent job of making you feel comfortable and relaxed right in the middle of the city. The food was excellent and the attention to detail in the cottages is to be commended. We were able to have our group activitiesin the Clubhouse and it’s the cutest space with all kinds of surprises. The Gift Shop is colorful and bursting with creativespins on gifts. The Bakery/coffee shop is a must stop to get a taste at all the yummy homemade treats! So happy to be able toenjoy this facility and hope to return again soon. Read more

I’m giving this place a five because of the food and because of the wonderful waitress that I had, campbell. She was so... attentive to our table and made sure that we were completely satisfied with our meal at all times. Her bubbly attitude andpositive spirit made our dining experience so much better!! I had the fried green tomatoes and it was so yummy as well as theeggs Benedict. I definitely recommend this place when you want a high class summery vibe. The bottomless mimosas will have youfeelin’ right ???? Read more

I enjoyed eating here for a semi-casual date night. I was easily able to make substitutions to the sides with the entree I... ordered. Our food was well prepared, tasty, and well presented. Our server was kind and appropriately attentive. The food cameout in a timely manner, and we enjoyed the meal. I loved the decor and wandering around the space after dinner. The restroomswere clean as well. Overall a lovely night out! Read more

Hosted an event at the “Art Tank” venue space and it was absolutely stunning! I didn’t have to do anything for the event... but set up my small section. Food, chairs, tables, & microphone were all provided. It comfortably seated 50 guests. The foodselection was also very tasty! My favorite was their shrimp & grits. Highly recommend! Read more

I was pretty disappointed with my experience at Cohen’a Retreat. My wife and I had a friend visiting from out of state. We... wanted to take her to a nice dinner and experience amazing Georgia food. We made a reservation and were seated promptly uponarrival - the only reason I gave any stars for this review. We were seated before 2 other tables that also had the samewaitress as us. From overhearing the waitress interacting with the other tables behind us, we quickly realized we were NOTgetting the same experience as them. Our waitress spoke enough to get our order and mildly check on us. My wife ordered the NYstrip steak - medium rare. The other tables who ordered after us got their food before us. Not sure how that works if our orderwent in first. The steak comes out and it’s medium well and barely hot. Anyone who is a cook or works in a kitchen would knowthat if you put a medium rare steak under the warmer (waiting for the server or waitress to pick it up) and it’s left theretoo long it continues to cook…. Making it medium well. The one time the waitress checks on us, our friend and I have eatenabout half our meals and my wife has barely touched hers because it’s not cooked properly. Every other table got a friendly, upbeat, check in on their plates. Not us. It was “everything okay?” …And then walked away. A GOOD waitress would havenoticed that the steak and rest of the meal had barely been touched and would have asked if there was something wrong with themeal. Steak is a specific meat that gets cooked a specific way, hence why you ask how you want it cooked. Clearly this waitressis not trained to serve steak. Because our friend and myself were already halfway through our meals, there was no point increating a bigger problem. We will never be back. Service was terrible and waitress is not trained to serve the food you offer.Critical pieces of your business. She also would have received a much larger tip from us had she known what she was doing. My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottages and had brunch here one morning. We split fried green tomatoes, my boyfriend had... shrimp and grits, and I had eggs Benedict. We also had cocktails. The Amethyst French 75 was one of the best cocktails I’veever had, and the food was all amazing. The only disappointment is that they aren’t open earlier, or else we would have hadbreakfast here several times! Read more

We held my wedding reception at Cohen's Retreat. It was a small reception for 6-8 people. Natasha Davis helped us in booking the... room and ordering the food in advance, and she is great. We took the chef's dining room. The food was delicious and service waswarm. We started close to their closing time but they arranged for us and the kitchen and waiters/waitress was there with usuntill the end which is 1 hour exceeding their closing time. What impressed me was the other guests having dinner there wascheering and congratulating for us when we came in. People go to the place they like, nice people go to nice place, isn't it? Read more

Ordered the Charcuterie Board, Southern Tomato Pie, and Fried Green Tomatoes. They were all so very tasty; terrific... presentation, too. The kids had the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Cohen's Smash Burger, both of which were delicious. The hostesswas fabulous and very helpful. Our party of seven got a table in a big, beautiful semi-private room. There is also a cute giftshop and a small bakery in the restaurant -- very tastefully done. From the initial greeting by the hostess, this place feltelegant. Definitely coming back. Read more
