A really nice brunch spot! Strong menu - I really enjoyed my smoked salmon Benedict in particular. I do wish that they served... alcohol before 11 - seems odd for a brunch spot to open and offer a drink menu but not actually allow you to order it. Read more

This is the type of place that could easily appear to feel self-important and try-hard trendy, but was actually very unassuming... and simply a great spot to have dinner. Staff was a bit overeager (at one point 3 different servers stopped by our table insuccession to check on us and take our order?!) But everything we ordered was correct and well prepared. Entree serving sizewas definitely on the small side for the cost, but flavor made up for some of this. I still left kind of hungry, but the foodthat I ate there was amazing. We tried several scallop dishes, and oysters on the half shell as an appetizer, which we ate tooquickly to even get a picture. Excellently prepared, delicious! Robust vegetarian menu available as well. My coworker orderedtwo different cocktails, and she enjoyed both. All in all a very good dinner experience, would recommend if you can afford it! Read more

I rarely give out 5 star reviews, but The Common restaurant earned it. The Bacon Old Fashioned was aromatic with the touch of... bitters & bacon. The chicken and waffles was amazing! The breading on the chicken was perfect. The maple syrup has bourbon in it(made fresh everyday) really adds complexity to the flavor. CJ our server was sweet and authentic, loved her style, greatservice. Would I go back again. Absolutely. Great find. Bonus/ you get great rates on drinks during happy hour 3-7pm Read more

This was my first time at Common and it was wonderful. Our waiter/bartender was Evan who was funny, charismatic, and just a... delight. Try the Savannah mule. It has a peach twist and it is so good. Appetizer were oysters with various toppings. I amnot an oysters lover but my girls said they were fresh and perfect. The braised short rib served over cornbread with creamedcollards, perfection. The rib is so tender, there is no need for a knife. The cornbread was a little sweet but served as agreat base for the short rib to soak up those juices. Collards were perfectly cooked. The lamb shank was served with a lemonrisotto. Perfect as well. So tender and flavorful. The burger with the house pimento cheese and woven bacon????. Need I saymore. Common was a great atmosphere with nice leather booth seating that was very comfy. Try this restaurant if you are inSavannah for a stay. You won't be disappointed. Read more

It’s closer to a 4.5 star rating, but I’d rather round up than down. Cool spot for dinner in Savannah. Service was good. Was... able to try several dishes including the scallops, the lamb shank and the short rib, which was the standout in my opinion.Wouldn’t say it’s a must visit but certainly a solid meal with a good ambiance that’s worth a visit if you’re in townfor a few days. The ambiance was absolutely lovely. I got seated by the window, and it was a lovely little spot. I got the chicken and waffles... and absolutely loved it. The waffles were too thick (too thick for my preference), but it was still good, and the special syrupwas great!! Overall, I had a good experience and would return for dinner. Read more
