This restaurant was a 4 when we started but unfortunately dropped very quickly. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely bartender, sat at the... bar. Appetizers and cocktails were good. Shrimp cocktail was upscale and delicious. Tartare was very different as it was rolledin braciole but the braciole added a great uplift to the dish. We ordered the dinner special to share, skirt steak. It wasseasoned to perfection but unfortunately served almost cold, luke warm at best. Also ordered the creamed spinach, which we orderat every steakhouse we eat at and this one was very different. Mostly cheese and cream and very little spinach, which if I hearddescribed to me I might say sounds delicious, but unfortunately it was not. Also we sat at the end of the bar, last two seats, halfway through our meal they added a chair at the short end of the bar and sat someone there, not meant to be a seat and way toclose to us, very uncomfortable. When I went to the restroom I saw them serving bread and butter to some tables. We were notoffered this. Was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and was really sad to be so disappointed. Ordered thechocolate cake for dessert was tasty but a huge portion, even to share. I hate to give this rating but based in the pricing Ithink they should have done better. Read more

We came to Savannah for our honeymoon and made a late reservation same day. It took us a minute to get seated, but we were... given drinks while we waited. The service was excellent and our waitress, Caroline was very good! The peach old fashioned andchampagne flight were both excellent. We both ordered the filet and it was one of the best steaks I?ve had. We also got theasparagus and mashed potatoes, which were also delicious. Since we were here for the honeymoon, they gave us champagne to toastand pumpkin macaroons on the house. Overall an amazing experience! Read more

6/16/22 Highly recommend this chop house. Lives up to its name. Hubby ordered 14 0z bison NY strip with bone marrow butter. I... had the salmon. Also started out with the grilled octopus. Honestly it?s pricey, but worth it. Located at the J.W. Marriotthotel. Read more

We visit Savannah multiple times a year. Decided to try Stone & Webster for our 25th anniversary. Overall, was a good dinner. We... had theDelmonico Ribeye, Filet Mignon, Knife & Fork Caesar Salad, Potato Puree, Kessler Cab, and Moscato. Presentation oneverything was spot on. The steaks were Medium Rare and cooked perfectly. Potatoes were creamy and fantastic with all thetoppings. Salad could have used slightly more dressing, slightly dry. Both wines were great. Only questionable part of the wholedinner were the still water and wine glasses. I would swear they were a higher end plastic and not glass. No ?clinking? of glassin a toast. Maybe die to COVID? not sure but seemed odd as other dinners with ice water looked to have glasses. The dining areawas larger than expected. Being in far back was nice. It was cozy and quiet. Our server, Jared, was friendly and had lots ofgreat recommendations. The speed of the meal was perfect. We never felt rushed or waiting for anything. The manager came by tocheck on us which was also a plus - would have mentioned Jared was doing well but we had mouthfuls of food at time manager cameby. The prices were what I?d expect from a higher end chophouse, especially at a JW Marriott- although those glasses still haveme a bit surprised. Given some other lower reviews, we were tempted to cancel the reservation and go elsewhere but decided totry anyway. My two suggestions: 1. The glasses. I know it seems trivial but was just a little touch that surprised me theyweren?t glass (I literally could be wrong but hubby thought the same). 2. If a special event is mentioned in the reservation, acknowledge it. We have used Open Table elsewhere (and in Savannah) for special occasions and they restaurant alwaysacknowledges in some way. I expected it and that left a little disappointment. Overall though, nice dinner. Comparable to RuthChris. We would go to Chophouse again. Read more

The food was absolutely amazing and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and paired for us the perfect drinks to... accompany our meal. The broiled oysters tasted amazing, but it's only fair to point out, that the star ingredients were SEVERELYlacking. Not one speck of black caviar was placed on my dish. There was barely enough lobster roe to notice, let alone taste. Toadd insult to injury, when I mentioned to the waiter that absolutely no caviar was on my dish; he was very surprised and statedthat the kitchen had PLENTY of it. I was disappointed that there was no effort to correct the missing ingredient, but otherwise;the dish was delicious and the sea bean was a perfect touch. My 14 oz prime aged NY Strip was divine! Cooked to a perfect mediumrare and paired with black truffle beef butter (sold separately, but highly recommended) was absolutely juicy and such a joy toeat with the seared pepper and onion with. The forest mushrooms was a match made in heaven with our steaks and the pommes friteswere out of this world. My hubby enjoyed the Delmonico Ribeye and asked for medium well, but it was still more red thenexpected. Although he enjoyed the steak at the time, he did suffer sickness later on the evening, which was quite unfortunategiven such a lovely presentation. He also enjoyed the pork belly very much. The overall ambiance was romantic and the experiencewas nice, but for the price we paid; we expected a little better than what we received. The missing caviar and lacking lobsterroe on my oysters, and the incorrect doneness of my husband's steak as well as his eventual sickness from the meal made it veryhard to give the restaurant a stellar review. As a part of the JW Marriott franchise for the Plant District, I had higherexpectations for the quality what we were to receive from a fine dining restaurant and unfortunately, it was slightlydisappointing. Great atmosphere and great service! We came here from FL and the restaurant greeted us with a nice welcome eventhough they were... 30mins to close. We tried a few starters and they halved it for us as a wonderful convenience. Food was delicious as well as thedrinks (highly recommend The Red Ladder). We will probably return when we have more time to try the tower and steak, yum! Read more
