True southern food. Such a great dining experience. The sweet tea was also incredible. My favorite was the sweet potato pie. Yes... I had that before my food and I don?t regret it at all. I will definitely be back. Read more

I often feel weird eating out alone, but Caroline and the entire Sweet Potatoes staff made me feel right at home. Not to... mention, the food was spectacular and reasonably priced. Thank you. Read more

Mac in cheese was completely unseasoned, luckily, I took it to the rental house and used some seasoning , chicken broth and... pepper jack cheese to bring to a better texture and flavor. Collard greens were great and banana pudding was delicious, however,I wasn't thrilled to find my Togo box had the pudding in the to (smaller) side of the container rather than the bottom whichclearly affects portion size...at 7.25 I kind of expected more but at least it was fresh n tasty. All in all, really sweetservice people but needs more attention to detail on the food flavors and portioning. Read more

Best restaurant in Savannah!! We ordered the jerk chicken with mashed sweet potatoes, black-eyed pea relish, and dilled Lima... beans, and the pecan crusted chicken with sweet potato fries and lemon collards. It was all fantastic. The jerk chicken wassweet and smoky with just the right amount of spice. The mashed sweet potatoes and relish were the perfect accompaniment. Thepecan chicken was just as good, with crispy fries, and tangy greens. The food was fresh and so flavorful. Save room for dessert! The coconut cake and banana pudding were amazing. My wife has sampled the coconut cake at restaurants across the country andsaid it was the best she ever had. Also, excellent, friendly service with great food recommendations! Pro tip - come early onSaturday to avoid the rush. On his way out, a local said this is the best restaurant in Savannah, and we agree! Read more

I?m so glad we decided to give this place a try on the last night of our vacation. It was delicious. My husband got the Jamaican... jerk chicken and loved it. I got the peach glazed bbq chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts and Iloved everything. The peach glaze was so so good. If we?re ever back in Savannah, we will definitely be back to Sweet Potatoes. Read more

Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all quite friendly. And the food was delicious. It's so wonderful to... see a place with tasty and affordable gluten free options. I had the cornmeal crusted catfish with grits, it was a surpsinglyhefty piece. My husband had the meatloaf sandwitch and he said it was very tasty. Read more

This is the kind of place that needs more than 5 stars as an option for rating. Absolutely incredible. Starting with sweet tea... and finishing off with dessert, every bite was wonderful. We got the pot roast, fried catfish, and shrimp. Sides that we orderedincluded mashed sweet potatoes, mashed garlic red potatoes, and Mac n cheese. The pot roast had an excellent flavor and was verytender. The catfish melted in my mouth. I cannot wait to go back!!! Read more
