They close at 8 pm. We got there at about 7:25 and they were in the process of closing. They wouldn't serve us there, so we got... takeout and ate at our hotel. Very, very good. We had jerk chicken, rice and beans, and plantains - all excellent. This is kindof a very small, dumpy-looking place with only 4 [?] small tables located in a rundown looking building. BUT absolutely worthit. I spent 2 weeks in Jamaica and this food was pretty comparable. Very nice people run it! Will absolutely return if I'm inSavannah again. Read more

Based on some of these reviews, we must have gone on a good day because the food was very good. It was seasoned well, although... I'm not 100% sure what part of the cow was used to "fill out" the oxtails. We eat oxtails everywhere we go and these were cookedand seasoned well. The curry goat, beef ribs, and beef stew were good. Customer service wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. IWOULD eat here again. Read more

I moved here recently from Baltimore, which has a very large Caribbean diaspora. I was very spoiled, but this is the closest I... have found to the delicious, authentic Jamaican food I am used to. Not to mention, it?s like half the price in Savannah! Hugeportion for $12 ? two jerk chicken breasts, and a ton of cabbage, and rice and peas. The woman even gave me extra jerk saucewithout me having to ask! They also have tiny containers of yummy hot sauce that you can grab. Everyone was friendly andawesome. Just an overall great experience. Thank you sweet and spice for existing! ???????? *Something I forgot to mention ?one of the chicken breasts was perfectly moist, while the other was dry and chewy. That?s on me though. It?s always a risk whenyou order chicken breast anywhere. There?s a reason why in Jamaica they only use thighs. Read more

The chicken (curry and jerk) is amazing! The green beans are boring... no butter no salt no pepper....nothing but water... logged. Service was great, the lady was very friendly Read more

Wow, this food was amazing! I always love trying new food and man this place hit the spot. I personally had the small jerk... chicken along with a side of white rice and plantains. All for under $10. The variety is superb and the combinations areendless. I would have really loved if they were selling their rumcake by the slice, but I'll save up for my next visit to buy awhole cake. Just make sure you show up with a mask as you will need one to order food. Read more

The Beef Stew was seasoned well and the beef was tender. I loved the rice and beans. The macaroni and cheese was cooked well and... tasted good. My husband had the oxtails and they were delicious with the white rice, cabbage, and peas. The portion size foreach dish was pretty good. We both had leftovers to take with us. Service was decent and the atmosphere was great for dining in;even though it is not very big in there. Good food at Sweet Spice! Read more
