I give it 5 stars based in what it is. Its in an old Inn and everything is worn and outdated, but its clean. Even the bathroom... is really clean so you can see effort is made and that?s important. I have been going here for Pork Chop Wednesday for well over 12 years. Food is good, lots of it. But the service, is not good. ... A drink (tea or water) is supposed to come in the price. You can?t get it yourself so there is a lady there that is supposed tobring it to you. 2 out of 3 times she never brings anything. When it was $9 bucks it was not a big deal, then it went to $12 andnow $15 and still no drink. They will sit there and ignore certain tables and like leave out paying full price but no drink.She has one job, bring the drinks to the table, that?s it. I brought this up to the cashier one of the last time I was in thereand her answer was that is not her job or her problem and to take it up with the waitress. This joint is the place to go for a great meal and socialize with friends! The buffet has obviously seen better days, because... the choices have diminished. I'm not a meat eater and I struggled on this last visit to simply make a plate. It's tough! I getit! I'm not giving up on this spot! The price may be what's dictating the menu. Wow! I cannot rave about this place more! It's a buffet done right. It was so good! It's in a hotel with a neat vibe. The buffet... was delicious! All the food was fresh and delicious! The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The salad bar was fresh and cold.And let me tell you about the dessert! It's amazing! The vanilla cake was SO good, that icing tasted like something that wouldbe in Joanna Gains cookbook. And every person in the restaurant was so nice. Some serious southern hospitality here! I can't believe I've driven past this place twice a day for 4 years and have just recently tried it. I'm not a fan of buffet... dining, however, these people do it right. Replacing food often and making sure everything is fresh and tasty. I'm now aregular. Prices are great, people are nice and the food is fantastic. What more could you ask for. Read more
