We wanted to check out this place & love it but unfortunately it didn?t impress. Both fried items were overly salted & the... desserts (& the sweet potato side), over sweetened. The rest of the sides were good but nothing I?d come back for. You can?torder any of the entrees on their own (it has to be a minimum of 2) and it comes with four sides & dessert - and to top that offyou can?t take home what you can?t finish (except for the dessert). Service was friendly. Read more

First off, our waitress, Shirley, was amazing. So, it's family style. We picked the 4 entrees (pot roast, gumbo, chicken and... dumplings and fried chicken) and 4 sides (mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, collard greens and creamed corn). The onlysaving grace of the entrees was the fried chicken. It was soooo good....crispy and delicious. The chicken and dumpling arebetter at golden corral...that's saying something. The sides were not much better. The mashed potatoes were not "creamy" atall. I think you could use it as grout for your tiles. The broccoli casserole was pretty yum, though. All in all, it is notworth the 30 buck price tag. We have marked this off of our favorite eateries in Savannah. Read more

It was a little weird that they wouldn't seat my group until all of my party was in the building when they were standing outside... and the hostess could see them from inside. The atmosphere was a bit bland. I only say this because the gift shop was verythoughtfully laid out in terms of decor but when you go into the restaurant side it's just a lot of wood on wood and not a lotof pieces to set the tone of a country style restaurant. As this is a all you can eat style restaurant. Which means you orderthe main courses from 2-4 dishes. The side items range from 3-4 plates, when you are finished with a plate the server willrefill that dish. The food overall was good. We ordered the fried chicken, fish, dumplings and gumbo. These were all maincourses however the gumbo and dumpling's were served in a dish that was the same portion size as the side dishes. The chickendumplings and the gumbo were two of the more pleasing items on the menu in terms of taste and quality so it was a bit sad thatthey were delineated to side dish variety portions. Which means we had to ask our waiter for more of the dumplings and gumbobecause of the portions were so minuscule. We ordered the macaroni and cheese, cream corn, broccoli casserole and mashedpotatoes for our side dishes All of them were fantastic. My only complaint as far as the fare goes was the fried chicken whichis billed as the "best southern fried chicken". The chicken was a bit bland and dry. It was the only dish that we did not getseconds of. Overall the place was very good and it is somewhere I would definitely go again and I recommend you go especially ifyou are familiar with Paula Dean and her cooking. Read more

The food was great especially the fried chicken. The pork chop, not so much. It comes out in gravy so if you just want fried be... sure to tell them in the beginning. We ordered Mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, and broccoli and cheese casserole. Thegreens were on point!! It is a little pricey and everyone will eat the same thing at the table. Read more

I read mixed reviews about Lady and Sons, however, my wife picked it a a place to go for a celebration dinner. I must say I was... very impressed with the quality of the food and service from our waitress Shirley. For main courses we had the fried chicken(moist and tasty), the seafood gumbo (yummy). Our 4 sides were cream corn (very good tasting and not watery), Mac and cheese(basic), broccoli casserole (loved it) and sweet yams (so good). For dessert we tried the peach cobbler (ok) and the vanillabutter cake (so good). You can re order anything you have. We doubled up on the fried chicken and 3 of the sides. We left therestuffed and happy. You can?t take anything to go except your dessert which we did after tasting them. Highly recommended forquality and price point. Dinner for the two of us, no alcohol, was $60.00. Read more

Staff was super friendly and welcoming. I went there for lunch with my wife and our two year old daughter. They interacted with... her and made her laugh a few times. Food was delicious and very well priced. The bartender made great drinks, to go I ordered asweet peach tea with bourbon and mint. Read more

I love their southern hospitality. The service was excellent and the Peach tea is a must try. I love they set up the food... portions on the table so you can share with your love ones. I was a little disappointed that you cannot take the left over foodhome but they don't rush you to finish it. Their freshly made biscuits are amazing but save it for last so you can have room forthe food. We was allowed to take our desert home. I highly recommend and the price is reasonable. Remember parking is a pain inSavannah so must likely it is easier to walk there. Read more
