Very prompt and friendly service by the gentleman who was serving and cashing out customers. Absolutely delicious bibimbap and... pork bone broth both served hot. The side dishes served were delicious as well and my favorites of them were the eggplant andthe rice cakes, and you can ask for refills. They also serve tea. The pork bone soup here really lacked flavour. It was bland and didn?t have the flavour you would expect from pork bone soup. ... Not sure if this is a different style than the ones in Korea Town. The meat was fall off the bone though. The lettuce wrap wasdecent. Nothing particularly good or bad about it. I wouldn?t return here on my own but wouldn?t object if a group of friendswanted to go. Can't say enough good things about Makkal Chon We've been going here for a few years now since moving to the east end and this... is one of the best and few (if not only) authetic Korean restaurants around! They always serve lots of delicious side dishesand always have great friendly service. We absolutely love their pork bone soup family size and their SEAFOOD PANCAKE!! Seafoodpancake is massive and can definitely be meal on its own if you so choose (we always have leftovers) Pork bone soup isarguably better than owl's! it's super flavourful and piping hot when you eat in restaurant. If you takeaway, make sure youreboil to make it super hot and delicious. They also serve purple rice which is a nice touch. Restaurant itself is quitesmall, and turnover can be slow. no reservations. so either get there early (before 6pm) or be ready to wait! Read more
Due to a shortage of employees, the wait is extremely long; the person serving is also the one cashing out the customers and... cleaning the tables. They give complimentary tea and side dishes, which is a bonus in my book. We ordered combo A, whichincluded lettuce, two meat options, and two Korean purple rice. The spicy bulgogi is delicious, but the spiciness isn't reallyapparent; I believe you can request that the spiciness be increased. I really like the grilled pork, and they cooked itperfectly. Have been here a few times over the past few weeks. Service is always fast and efficient. The pork bone soup is always great,... and the the chicken cutlet is one of our favourites! Definitely will continue to return to this hidden gem in Scarborough! ???? Read more
First time here, and was very impressed at this place. It kinds seems to be out of nowhere but boy were we glad we stumbled... across. First of all, the quantity of food was overwhelming. We originally planned on ordering more than whats shown in thepictures but the waitress warned us it would likely be too much (good call). The main dishes were good but the highlight for mewas the side dishes! Not only were they delicious, they were all refillable. All in all, would definitely visit again! Read more
Korean family restaurant vibe, we got a table on weekend afternoon without waiting. Quite busy on weekend, but only 1 staff to... serve on the floor, be prepared to wait after order. Large portion of side dishes. Ginseng chicken soup 4/5???????? The soup isthe best part of the dish, very delicious. Chinese dates, garlic and ginseng in the soup. Sticky rice inside the whole chicken.But I only give 4 stars because lack of ginseng flavour. Pork bone soup 3.5/5??????? Taste good, strong and rich flavour but nomsg to dry up your mouth afterward. Slightly spicy. The pork so tender even soak in the hot soup for a long time. Worth-tryingand is definitely taste good, but would love to have less spice to taste meat flavour, just my personal preference. Read more
