Went for a birthday dinner last night and was highly disappointed in the taste and quality of the food. I got multiple... appetizers and the portobello mushroom chicken for my main and the food tasted dry and salty. The chicken bites were stale andso were the chips that came with the spinach dip. Shrimp was overly salty and rubbery and the portobello chicken was alsorubbery and extremely salty. The prices have gone up a lot since the last time I visited so for what I paid, I was not happywith it at all. Read more
We celebrated my Mom?s ?milestone? birthday and were blown away by the excellent service provided to us by Harvey S. He is very... professional, efficient and attentive to your needs. The food and drinks were also phenomenal and simply delish. From themoment I made a reservation, the staff were super helpful and basically all restaurant staff here were super nice and friendly.Which makes us wonder since we?ve been to other Milestones and service/food is totally different compared to the otherlocations. The Scarborough location is so much way better in terms of service offered and quality of food. We ordered variousfood and drinks on the menu and they were well presented, portions were just right and tasted so good. I would say my favourite(and the one I always order) would be the Peach Bellini and the Portobello Mushroom Chicken Spaghettini. The Bellini is fizzyand refreshing and probably the best Bellini in Toronto. Portobello mushrooms and tender chunks of chicken simmered in a richand creamy white sauce is one dish here not to missed and you will surely enjoy! I went to celebrate my husband's birthday with my son. From the first moment we arrived, the staff was very friendly, in... particular the waiter assigned to our table. The food I must point out: 1. Starters: coconut calamary and wings, both deliciousbut my recommendation is the coconut calamary. Main: I ordered portobello mushroom chicken, suggested by the waiter, simplydelicious but with negative points, it was supposed to have portobello, however it had just a few thin pieces of it, I feltdisappointed to me. 2. My husband ordered Baby back trio, which is a mixture of BBQ pork ribs, chicken breast and shrimp,exquisite, also recommended. 3. The disappointment of the day. My son is a meat lover and he ordered a 7 oz filet mignon. Heasks for medium term. It was quite small. My son gave me his last bites of the filet to share, but total disappointed. My sonknows his preferred term of meat, medium, but he didn't say anything so as not to upset his dad's birthday. The meat was fullycooked, it was not medium, and it was supposed to be a super tender and soft meat, but unfortunately it was the opposite, it wasa dry and hard meat, additionally the flavor was not delicious, it had a burnt charcoal taste that hid the flavor of the meat. I couldn't complain about it, because the meat was already gone and I didn't want to darken my husband's birthday. The filetmignon is a very expensive dish $44, very small and its quality is not close to what it should be, negative points and notrecommended if you are thinking to go there for the meat. Finally we went on the recommendation of a friend who said that whenbirthdays are celebrated, they give you a cake for free and according to the reviews, that's how it should be. It was not likethat either, the cost of the dessert adorned with Happy birthday was charged. Paid a return visit to this restaurant for my birthday yesterday with my wife after celebrating our anniversary there in August... with our immediate and extended families at the outdoor tent. We dined indoors this time. The indoor decor was very pleasant.We were greeted promptly by the hostess and tended to by our lovely waitress Isabelle. Even the general manager Laurel came outto greet us. Our meals were delicious and the service excellent. The appetizer of chicken wraps with lettuce was creative,plentiful and delicious. For my birthday, I was served a complimentary dessert which was a well decorated white cheese cake andhappy birthday sung by our waitress Isabelle. My husband and I came here last night to celebrate my birthday. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the fact that they made my... choice of dessert as a complimentary one as I called ahead to book a table for 2 mentioning it was my bday! And not to forgetthe firecracker , which added essence to the vibe! Our server was Emily and she was extremely good and sweet spoken! Talkingabout the food, I went for coconut calamari starter and I loved it. I would have preferred it little spicier but the mild tastewas just about fine with the sauce served. We went ahead with Sirloin and Mediterranean chicken as mains. Loved every bite andmy husband wanted the steak well done and the portion of meat along with the veggies was just about fine to fill our tummies andthe meat was really juicy! They have a halal menu! For starters, we got the wham bam shrimp which was a very generous portion except we ate most of it... before remembering to take a picture. The flavours explode in your mouth, definitely recommend getting it. For mains, I got the16oz steak which was great value and not bad for the price point. She got the sweet chili chicken bowl which I absolutely loved.It tastes just like it sounds, lots of flavour, highly recommend! Not a fan of the fountain Coke but the Miami ice mocktail wasdelicious. Oh, and the Parmesan fries paired really well with the steak. Finishing the meal was a workout and a half. Read more
