The daily special lunch is worthy for money and a try. The BBQ pork strikes a good balance between saltiness and sweetness. The... meat itself is also tender and not too hard to chew. Nice work. The vegetables are fresh but a bit oily. The rice is nicelycooked. A particle shape is preserved but the texture is not hard. This reflects a good application of water in cooking. Thewaiters are friendly. The place is not dense. Nice to have lunch here. Read more

Prices of the food in both Mr Congee are very fair and reasonable and the portions are never a problem so you get the bang for... the buck. The warden location might be a bit more crowded as it’s public transit accessible. Quality and services would besimilar for both locations. Evening meal experience has been very good too. Worth checking out if you’ve never been. Read more

Mr. Congee ???? Food was good but the service soured the dining experience. ????2900 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON M1W... 2S8 Item(s) ordered: ???? D1 Shrimp Wonton Lomein ????$9.40 CAD ?5/10 ???? K15Seafood with Pineapple Fried Rice ????$16.25 CAD ?8/10 Overall, the food is good but the service is horrible. I've been to thisestablishment several times over the past decade or so, and the service seems to get progressively worse. The hosttest was nottrained to handle a lunch rush. She took down my name and the number of seats (4) I wanted. Several smaller groups (1-2) got inbefore me but it was only when I asked her what was taking so long, that I was given a table. This was just as she was about tochoose another group of 4 that came after us. We stood and waited for 40 minutes. A group of 12 arrived shortly after us and Ioverheard that they had called in advance with reservations. I guess they left because clearly there were no seats forthem. Then after being seated, we were given very watered down, clear tea. It took a while to flag down the waitress and sheproceeded to bring us a bucket to pour out the water we had already poured into our cups. It felt quite unprofessional. Thefood came out fairly quick afterwards. The food was good, my favourite is always the Radish cake, but the service soured thedining service for us. I will be reconsidering my options the next time I'm in the area. Read more

Asked to wait to sit at one of their two booth tables and the waitress accommodated us--wrote our name down and marked our... request. They have placed hanging transparent plexiglass boards between tables...wish they were wider though. Waitresses veryefficient but the cooks were a bit less--had to wait a long time even for the two cups of milk tea--served already sweetened. They serve milk tea in paper cups even for dine-in and all bowls and plates are in plastic. Taste was good but somehow a bitoff than their excellent quality...maybe a different chef for lunch than the dinner ones. You can order online for pickup; theyhave an efficient pickup shelf and the staff are eager to help. Read more

We went back to our favourite Cantonese congee diner. Great comfort food and hit the right spot. They have afternoon tea set... which comes with entree along with hot or cold drink. Great value and generous portions. Follow me on IG whenhungerstrikes17. Read more

The service was fast and friendly. The menu itself has a nice variety and the prices are cheap. I had the lunch special which... gives a salad, main dish and drink for $12 which is cheap relative to other restaurants. The roasted duck and pork are great aswell Read more

Busy restaurant with big portions and tasty Cantonese food. Their prices might appear to be a bit higher but it's worth it... considering how big their portions are. Food came out piping hot and fresh, and the ingredients used were all very good quality.Almost everything was a bit on the salty side though. We got the clay pot rice which you should order right away since it takes~30 minutes. Worth the wait since it came with plenty of toppings and a crispy rice layer. Their BBQ meats are popular and tastytoo. Service is fast but perhaps because of the masks and busy atmosphere, they got 2 of our orders wrong which they quicklyremedied. I did notice that the man cutting the BBQ had his mask pulled down under his chin the entire time we were there. Read more
