Food was pretty good. Good amount of portion for the lunch special. Got the curry chicken, curry goat and fried chicken.... Everything was tender. The only thing I would?ve liked more is if they put more gravy, which I will request next time. Bonus:Inside of a grocery store. I?m going to be honest, The food is great like really great. The food is fairly priced and the portion sizes are fantastic. The... only downside is consistency of their product. Sometimes the food absolutely bangs but other times it?s very mediocre. I?llstill recommend this place for anytime to grab a quick bite on their lunch break or just wants to try something different. I ordered from Uber Eats Never heard of this place before but I was impressed by the high reviews so I decided to try it out.... Wow! Amazing! I was so impressed with the portion size. Scotchiees is a brand new Jamaican takeout restaurant located in Malvern Mall. Their menu offers most Jamaican favourites,... including Oxtail, Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Ackee, and more. I dropped in during their soft opening period to try their food.Most of it can be seen in a steam table and it all looked good. I had their small oxtail. It was a generous serving, with rice& peas, fried plantain, and vegetables. It was tasty and tender and attractively presented on a banana leaf in the takeoutcontainer. Nice touch! The place looks very attractive, although it's obvious that some finishing touches still need to beapplied. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll be back to try more of their food! Read more
